LIVE In My Presence

Thus saith the LORD, “Covet My will; your way will turn on you and shatter you. My way protects you and guides you to victory. Think, act, and LIVE in My presence. I am the Secret to all health, all purity, all influence, all power, and all peace. You forfeit peace by allowing into your spirit all the cares and distractions of this world order. You alone open the door to fear, depression, worry, anger, malice, lust, greed, envy, strife, gossip, idleness, lies, and all of sin’s deceptions. You open the door wide to the thief who would destroy your whole health and rob you of what is your eternal, Kingdom inheritance. Allow nothing to disturb the joy and peace that is found in Me. Actively cast down every imagination and every thought that exalts itself against what My Word teaches. Hold EVERY THOUGHT captive, submitting it to the testing of My Word. The things that you see about you are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. Your sufficiency is of My Spirit; for behold My kingdom is within you.”

I so desire the Lord’s presence in my life; to KNOW He is there is what I live for. I decided to go to the concordance and write Scripture related to HIS PRESENCE and we shall see how it flows from the BEGINNING to the ENDING of His Word. I pray Holy Spirit will speak to each of you as you read and that you will have a greater appreciation of the importance of Him indwelling your life. To Him I give all the glory and praise for to know Him is to love Him!

“And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. And the LORD called unto Adam, and said unto him, ‘Where art thou?’ And he said, ‘I heard Thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.'” (Genesis 3: 8-10)

“And the LORD said unto him, ‘Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.’ And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.” (Genesis 4: 15, 16)

“And Moses said… ‘Now therefore, I pray Thee, if I have found grace in Thy sight, show me now Thy way, that I may know Thee, that I may find grace in Thy sight…’ And He said, ‘My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.’ ” (Exodus 33: 12-14)

“But Hazael king of Syria oppressed Israel all the days of Jehoahaz. And the LORD was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast He them from His presence as yet.” (2 Kings 13: 22, 23)

“Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein. Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because He cometh to judge the earth.” (1 Chronicles 16: 32, 33)

“If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in Thy presence, (for Thy name is in this house,) and cry unto Thee in our affliction, then Thou wilt hear and help.” (2 Chronicles 20: 9)

“And the LORD said unto Satan, ‘Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.’ So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.” (Job 2: 6, 7)

Fullness of Joy “Thou wilt show me the path of life: in Thy presence is fullness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” (Psalm 16: 11)

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from Thy presence; and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.” (Psalm 51: 10, 11)

“As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God. The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.” (Psalm 68: 2, 8)

“Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before His presence with singing.” (Psalm 95: 2; 100: 2)

“Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the God of Jacob; which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters. Whither shall I go from Thy Spirit? Or whither shall I flee from Thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, Thou art there: If I make my bed in hell, behold, Thou art there… Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto Thy name: the upright shall dwell in Thy presence.” (Psalm 114: 7; 139: 7; 140: 13)

“Oh that Thou wouldest rend the heavens, that Thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at Thy presence, as when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make Thy NAME known to Thine adversaries, that the nations may temble at Thy presence! When Thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, Thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at Thy presence.” (Isaiah 64: 1-3)

“Fear ye not Me?” saith the LORD: “Will ye not tremble at My presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it? But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone. Neither say they in their heart, ‘Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in His season: He reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.'” (Jeremiah 5: 22-24)

“For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath have I spoken, surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; so that the fishes of the sea, the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all the men upon the earth, shall shake at My presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.” (Ezekiel 38: 19, 20)

“Hold thy peace at the presence of the Lord GOD: for the day of the LORD is at hand: for the LORD hath prepared a sacrifice, He hath bid His guests.” (Zephaniah 1: 7)

“And the angel answering said unto him, ‘I am Gabriel that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.'” (Luke 1: 19)

“And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to naught things that are: that no flesh should glory in His presence.” (1 Corinthians 1: 28, 29)

“For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us… So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear a second time without sin unto salvation. Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.” (Hebrews 9: 24-28; Jude 24, 25)

“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.” (Revelation 14: 9, 10)

FROM THE VERY BEGINNING… YOU SEE THE UNFOLDING REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST. “REJOICE!” And again I say, “REJOICE!” HE WAS, IS, AND WILL ALWAYS BE IN CONTROL! Hallelujah!

HIDDEN IN HIM

“I call upon You, O God, for You will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer. Show the wonder of Your great love, You who save by Your right hand those who take refuge in You from their foes. Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings from the wicked who assail me, from my mortal enemies who surround me. But my eyes are fixed on You, O Sovereign LORD; in You I take refuge – do not give me over to death. Keep me from the snares they have laid for me, from the traps set by evildoers. Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I pass by in safety. Rescue me from my enemies, O LORD, for I hide myself in you.” (Psalm 17: 6-9; 141: 8-10; 143:9)

Early Monday, September 23, 2008 God gave me a dream and I have been praying and thinking about it these past few days. I write now in retrospect. I find it interesting that the dream occurred in the early hours of the 23rd which followed the beginning of the Fall Equinox (09-22-08 – 11: 44: 18 EDT) heralding autumn in the Northern Hemisphere. It is when the sun appears to cross the celestial equator, from North to South and it is said that night and day are of approximately the same length.

September, 2008 has been packed with many “stormy days”: September 1st Hurricane Gustav killed 26 in Sothern USA: September 5th tropical storm Hannah kills and injures hundreds in Haiti: September 7th and 8th Hurricane Ike hits Haiti and Cuba and 70 + die, in Turks and Caicos 80% lose their homes: September 12th a metro link train collides with a freight train and 25 die in California: September 13th and 14th Hurricane Ike hits Texas and there is great loss of people and homes: September 14th -16th Midwest USA still feels the effects of Ike with high winds causing death, flooding and 2 million are left without power. Just yesterday (May 20, 2013) a tornado hit in Oklahoma and over 50 lost their lives…suddenly! There are major issues presently occurring and developing in the political and economic arenas of many of the nations in the world. Basically we are seeing Matthew 24: 1-24 unfolding before our very eyes! As I am writing, Revelation Chapter 18 also comes to mind, particularly verses 8-20. ” …in one day her plagues will overtake her …In one hour your doom has come …In one hour she has been brought to ruin… ”

My dream began in a day of “usual activity” (Matthew 24: 36-44). I remember saying goodbye to my sons as they left for school and I noted in the background that people were getting into their cars heading for work. Then, as dreams go, I found myself standing on a water-front dock and there were many workers around who were busy loading and unloading several moored cargo ships. I walked over to the edge of the pier and looked over the wide expanse of the ocean water and then quickly turned away, shivering as I headed towards home. For some reason, I looked upward into the sky and I saw a huge, hollow, circular shaft beginning to emerge from between the clouds. I remember thinking it was like an old movie where a UFO would send down a beam to suck up the people. Then I saw a wide, curved blade-like surface begin to form at the end of the shaft and I recognized that what was coming through the clouds was, in fact, a HUGE ANCHOR. It seemed to me that it was very old. It was a dull black and it had some rusty areas on it. At the same time, the anchor arm looked like shining, sharp steel. The anchor filled the sky and people were beginning to look up and shout for others to look; all wondering what it was and what it meant.

Anchor As I looked, I noted that the anchor was slowly moving to the left and then it would swing to the right; as a pendulum. A sickening feeling rose up inside me when I noticed that with each swing in either direction there was a “rachet-like noise” and the anchor was dropping a little closer to the earth’s surface. Even though I was in a specific place in the dream I KNEW that it had global meaning as well. I KNEW instantly that when the anchor hit the earth, it would actually cut the earth in two and that the cut would be longitudinal, beginning in the North and following through to the South.

Then I was standing with some other people closer to my home and we were watching as the anchor came closer to the earth’s surface. It seemed that it was about 20-30 feet from hitting when a woman (Sylvia) standing beside me said, “I’m going down there to get a closer look.” I said, “No, don’t go because it’s going to hit and if you’re not in a safe place it’ll kill you.” She just ran off and was standing on the dock looking up at the anchor. Suddenly, I was looking through her eyes at the broad base of the anchor’s arm. I saw thousands of faces looking through the anchor’s base at me. I was wondering who they were and why they were inside the anchor just as the anchor hit the earth.

ANCHOR: Hebrew (zrowa, zroah) is the arm (as stretched out), force—arm; help, mighty power, shoulder strength. In Greek (agkura, agkale, agkos) it is a bend, “ache”; an arm (as curved). Youngblood’s Bible Dictionary defines it as a heavy object on a ship cast overboard to hold the vessel in a particular place (see Acts 27: 27-31; 39-41). Oxford’s dictionary describes it as (noun) a heavy metal weight used to moor ship to sea bottom or a balloon to ground; thing affording stability; (verb) secure with anchor; fix firmly. (Luke 1: 46-56; John 12: 37-41, Acts 27: 14-44; Hebrews 6: 18-20)

CUT: Hebrew (karath) to cut (off, down, or asunder); by impl. to destroy or consume; spec. to covenant (i.e. make an alliance or bargain, orig. by cutting flesh and passing between the pieces)…(Genesis 15: 12-21; Matthew 27: 45-54; Hebrews 7: 22-27). In Greek (ekek) origin (point where motion or action proceeds) from, out (of place, time, or cause; direct or remote), by (the means of) exceedingly, (+ abundantly above)… (Ephesians 3: 14-21). Oxford’s defines it (verb) penetrate or wound with sharp instrument; divide (into parts) with knife etc.; trim, detach part of, by cutting; (noun) act of cutting, division or wound made by cutting; stroke of knife, sword, whip, etc. (Hebrews 4: 9-12).

EARTH: Both Hebrew and Greek have nearly identical meanings so I chose to cite the Greek, (ghay) soil; by extension a region, or the solid part of the whole of the terrene globe (incl. the occupants in each application): country, earth (-ly), ground, land, world (Matthew 24: 13, 14; John 3: 16, 17).

NORTH: Throne of God (Ezekiel, Chapters 40-43) Hebrew (tsaphan) to hide (by covering over); to hoard or reserve; to protect, esteem, hide(-den age, self), keep secret (-ly, plan) (Psalm 31: 19-24; Psalm 91).

SOUTH Hebrew (negeb) to be parched; the south (from its drought) (Amos 8: 11-13; John 7: 37, 38).

I believe that this dream has endless interpretations and it is my prayer that it will call forth a “specific Word” from the LORD into your life and situation right NOW, in Jesus name. GLOBALLY, it is a Word from GOD reminding us that HE IS GOD and there IS judgment for not believing HE IS. No one can determine when “enough is enough”; I do know that there are many today who are NOT solidly hidden in the Anchor. I feel in my heart that there is a day of reckoning just around the corner; a time where lives and situations will never again be what they are now; however, this is TRUTH as we really only have this very MOMENT. The dream spoke of a “CUT from North to South”. I believe this means that in the darkest hour His GLORY will flow with tremendous power from His throne of Grace, Mercy, and Love to reach those in the world who are PARCHED (THIRSTY) for Him to give them “LIVING WATER”! I see a promise for a GREAT HARVEST in that I had the dream on September 23rd (Fall Equinox). The ANCHOR IS JESUS: … “HE (ONLY) is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE: no man shall come unto the Father, except through Him” (John 14: 6). We who are safely anchored in Him have eyes that see those around us who are lost. All the authority of JESUS CHRIST has been given to us to go and make disciples in all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and to teach them to obey everything that God has written in His WORD. He is anchored in us as we are to be in Him…always together until the end of the age (Matthew 28: 18-20).

I urge each of you to firmly anchor your whole life into Christ NOW! There is a song I love to sing and it speaks to “this very day and hour”…may each of you be blessed as you keep your eyes focused on JESUS! Hallelujah!

“Our HOPE is built on nothing less than JESUS’ blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on JESUS’ name.
When darkness veils His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging GRACE;
In every high and stormy gale, my ANCHOR HOLDS within the veil.
His oath, His covenant, His blood support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way, He then is all my HOPE and STAY.
When He SHALL COME with trumpet sound smile , O may I then IN HIM BE FOUND!
Dressed in His righteousness alone, faultless to stand before the throne!

Chorus…
IN CHRIST the SOLID ROCK, I stand: All other ground is SINKING SAND, all other ground is sinking sand. AMEN.”

FILL US WITH YOUR GLORY…

And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may also glorify You, as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was….I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one.” (Luke 2: 9-11; John 1: 14; John 17: 1-5, 20-22).

In September, 2009 my mother was eighty years old. My five sisters and two sisters-in-law were able to enjoy a weekend with mom. I had asked her a few months before then if she would speak a blessing over each of our lives (as Jacob did; Genesis 49) she did; it was a very special. One of the things she said in her words to me was to “guard against ‘complacency’.” That has stayed with me over the years and the word “complacent” has come to me from several venues through the years. I have seen it in readings, heard it from leaders, and heard it in sermons. I am quite certain that God WAS/IS TRYING to get my attention, for every time I read or hear the word, I think back to my mother’s words. “Am I complacent, or is He telling me I need to be watchful of becoming this way?”

Complacency: What is complacent? It means to be self-secure, content, self-satisfied, untroubled, unbothered, at ease. Basically, I’d say it is an issue of PRIDE, or the hardening of our heart. I asked my husband if he could give me a more workable definition and he related it to APATHY. Apathy is lack of interest, indifference, or insensibility to something … you just don’t care about it; complacency is caring about something, but not acting on it. I have thought about how this definition reflects on me personally and especially in relationship to my spiritual life. I think we often get “comfortable” with where we are; believing we have reached our destiny in Christ … therefore, we can now just kick back and wait for His glorious return. I refer you to Proverbs 28: 14, “Blessed is the man who always fears the LORD (doesn’t get comfortable, or take Him for granted), but he who hardens his heart falls into trouble” (see also Ephesians 4: 17; Hebrews 3: 7-15).

I have to confess that a couple years ago I had become more complacent in my relationship with God. I continued to read and study His Word, but I found that I spent more time thinking about spending more quality time with Father than actually DOING IT! I had allowed myself to become sidetracked with “busy things” like laundry, watching a movie, talking on the phone, writing letters, talking ABOUT Him, praying shorter “blanket prayers”, etc. rather than going to my secret place to just spend time with my Father and letting Him know how much I love Him. I also realized that I have become more distressed about things going on around me. Why? Because my PEACE, in any given moment depends on being in continual communion with my Father (Psalm 29:11; 34: 14; Song of Solomon 2: 15; Isaiah 32: 17; John 14: 27; 16: 33; Galatians 5: 22; Philippians 4: 7; Colossians 3: 15). I DO CARE ABOUT MY RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD, BUT I HAD NOT BEEN PUTTING HIM FIRST; I HAD NOT BEEN ACTIVELY SEEKING HIM … I had become complacent! LORD, forgive me.

In Exodus 33, we read of how Moses would go to the tent of meeting outside the camp of Israel. When Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and stay at the entrance, while the LORD spoke with Moses. The people of Israel would see the pillar of cloud and would stand at the entrance of their own tent and begin to worship. In verse 15 Moses says to the LORD, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that You are pleased with me and with Your people unless You go with us? What else will distinguish me and Your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?” Moses ACTIVELY sought the LORD’s Presence and God met with Moses, face to face as a man speaks with his friend (vs. 11). That is what prayer is; communion with our heavenly Father.

I am so thankful for the GRACE that the LORD JESUS provided when He died on the cross and rose three days later to gain the victory over death! I KNOW there is NO CONDEMNATION for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8: 1). Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, fading though it was (Exodus 33: 29-35) will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? If the ministry that condemns men is glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness (2 Corinthians 3: 7-16)! Hallelujah!

The LORD said to Moses, “I WILL DO the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.” What then did Moses reply? It is the very same thing that I ask of Him… “NOW SHOW ME YOUR GLORY” (Exodus 33: 17-23). LORD, forgive my neglect; change my heart LORD and revive my first love. I WILL eagerly seek You, Lord! I KNOW I am forgiven; for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And I know that my unveiled face reflects the Lord’s glory. That I am daily being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit (2 Corinthians 3: 17, 18; see also 1 Corinthians 13: 12, 13). If you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, so are you! Hallelujah!

CHANGE…
the Heralding of a NEW DAY!

“Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown in the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?…But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble” (Matthew 6: 30-34).

Putting God’s kingdom first must take priority as each of us pursue His call on our life. It requires that we turn first to His Word, which is the atmosphere in which we are able to understand His will, recognize His way of doing things, and it opens our ears to hear the voice of Holy Spirit (Psalm 119: 18). We must watch for the little things, the small signs along the way, not in the great wind, earthquake, or fire, but rather in the “still small voice” (1 Kings 19: 11-13). Often it is the small, seemingly insignificant things or events that ultimately determine our destiny. God will open unexpected doors that usher us into His plan and purpose (Revelation 3: 7, 8) and when He does, and there is clearly no question that it is God opening the door—not yourself or someone else—move forward! (2 Samuel 5: 17-25).

Hebrews 11 is a passage of Scripture that truly BUILDS MY FAITH! FAITH is established conviction concerning things unseen and settled expectation of future reward. It is the TITLE DEED of the things I hope for and my assurance rests in God’s promises (2 Corinthians 1: 20-22). smile The people of faith listed in Hebrews 11 obtained a good report NOT because of achievements, personal holiness, or passive acceptance of God’s divine promises, but by ACTIVE OBEDIENCE, PERSISTENCE, and SACRIFICE! These people maintained their faith that GOD WOULD DO WHAT HE SAID and because of their CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, they could not feel at home in their earthly surroundings. Their personal shortcomings were overcome as they looked away from themselves to the GREATNESS OF GOD (John 3: 30).

Faith does not provide exemption from hardships, trials, or tragedy. The experience of such difficulties DOES NOT IMPLY that the people undergoing them possess less faith than those who are not afflicted. The same faith that enables some to escape trouble enables others to endure it. The same faith that delivers some from death enables others to die victoriously. Faith is not a bridge over troubled waters; it IS A PATHWAY THROUGH THEM. Discerning the pathway and the source of any hardships requires AGGRESSIVE PRAYER and WORSHIP (PRAISE & THANKSGIVING) and it is through these means that GOD’S PERSPECTIVE BECOMES FOCUSED! Hallelujah!

Heralding Of A New Day I have a dear friend and sister in Christ who recently decided to quit taking chemotherapy. She did this only after much prayer and waiting on Holy Spirit’s direction. Two weeks ago she called and told me she wanted to meet with me for prayer. I believed she wanted me to pray in agreement with her for strength and continued healing; she didn’t. She felt God wanted her to anoint me and pray for the next phase of my ministry…to pray for Him to grant me wisdom and strength, to bring my focus clearly onto Jesus and His righteousness. I cannot tell you how humbled I felt in the presence of Holy Spirit’s anointing on this FAITH-FILLED woman of God. A couple of hours earlier she had shared with me her experience of going through the most excruciating pain she’d ever had and it had occurred that very morning. As she was relating what had happened, I just KNEW she had reached that place of God’s perfect REST. Until that afternoon, I had often wondered about God’s promise of REST:
“Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it…but the word which they HEARD did not profit them, NOT BEING MIXED WITH FAITH in those who heard it…” (Hebrews 4: 1-5).

HEARING the Gospel is not enough; it must also be BELIEVED! My friend BELIEVES God’s Word is truth and she stands on His promises regardless of what is happening in her body or in the world circumstances surrounding her. She said that the pain was so intense that she could only cry, but then she began to call on Jesus and she said a great peace began to arise within her. As she continued to praise Him and thank Him for His peace, more peace came until the peace took her out of the pain. I thought of the Scripture in Psalm 110: 1, “The LORD said to my Lord, ‘Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.'” Oh hallelujah!! Friends, I remind you of one of God’s promises clearly stated, “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, EVEN WHEN we were DEAD in trespasses, MADE US ALIVE TOGETHER WITH CHRIST (by grace you have been saved), AND RAISED US UP TOGETHER, AND MADE US SIT TOGETHER IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST JESUS…” (Ephesians 2: 4-10). My sister BELIEVED and she RECEIVED His promise and she came to that place in Him FAR ABOVE all principalities and powers of darkness (Ephesians 6: 10-13) and the enemy KNEW she had…her pain went away! What testimony of His greatness; of His unconditional love! I give Him praise! HALLELUJAH JESUS!!

We all need to find that place of peace in Him each day. That place where no matter what is happening within your individual lives, or around you; you can be CENTERED IN JESUS; in PERFECT PEACE. I believe He wants me to be bolder in speaking to the Church; that time is short and there is much to be accomplished in these next weeks and months. I am not sure what will be done, but I have PEACE about it all. I KNOW HE has a plan and I am very eager to work with Him in any way He chooses to use me. I have had two people prophecy that I am in His “Secret Service” and I believe that to be so; for both myself and for many of you as well.

The LORD would have me say to you: “BUT this is a NEW DAY; the trumpet has sounded the battle cry and I call out to you dry bones, “STAND UP and LIVE!” I say to you bones, “YOU ARE ALIVE IN MY SON, JESUS!” I SEE THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF YOU, WHO ONCE FELT LOST, HOPELESS, DISCOURAGED, REJECTED, AND ABANDONED. I SEE THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS WHO ONCE FELT NO ONE LOVED THEM! BUT SUDDENLY, YOU ARE FEELING MY LIFE, MY FIRE BURNING WITHIN YOUR SPIRIT AND YOU CAN’T STAY DOWN; YOU ARE GETTING UP, YOU ARE PICKING UP YOUR ARMOR AND MANY OF YOU ARE BEGINNING TO POLISH IT AND AS YOU DO THIS, JOY IS RISING UP WITHIN YOUR SPIRIT. YOU PICK UP YOUR RUSTY SWORD AND BEGIN POLISHING IT AND AS YOU DO, YOU ARE FEELING GREAT ENERGY SURGING UP WITHIN YOU. YOU STAND NOW, WITH THE THOUSANDS OF OTHERS AROUND YOU; A MIGHTY ARMY SHINING WITH MY GLORY! STAND QUIETLY, FULLY ALERT, AND LISTEN FOR MY STILL, SMALL VOICE … YOU WILL HEAR ME SHORTLY.” (2 Samuel 5: 23-25).

NOW… UNTO HIM

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with ALL spiritual blessings in heavenly places IN Christ: according as He (God) hath chosen us in Him (Christ) before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him (God) in love… To the praise of the glory of His (God’s) grace, wherein He (God) has made us accepted IN the Beloved (Jesus); in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.… In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him (God) who worketh all things after the counsel of His (God’s) own will: that we should be to the praise of His (God’s) glory, who (you/me) first trusted in Christ. In whom you also trusted, after that you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation in whom also, after that you believed, you were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest (deposit) of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession (you/me), unto the praise of His (God’s) glory. …That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him (God): the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may KNOW what is the hope of His (God’s) calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His (God’s) power to usward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, which He (God) wrought in Christ, when He (God) raised Him (Jesus, the Christ) from the dead, and set Him (Jesus) at His (God’s) own right hand in the heavenly places (spirit realm; see Ephesians 6: 12), far above ALL principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: and hath put ALL things under His (Christ’s) feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church, which is His (Christ’s) body, the fullness of Him that filleth all in all. … BUT GOD, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved;) and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places IN Christ Jesus: for by grace are you saved through FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES: it is a GIFT OF GOD: not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are His (God’s) workmanship, created IN Christ Jesus unto good works, that God hath ordained that we should walk in them (Ephesians 1: 3,4, 6, 11-14, 17-23; 2: 4-10)..

Before I go further, I want to take this time to pray for each of you who are reading. The prayer that Paul prayed for the Ephesians (3: 14-21) so many years ago is a “NOW” prayer for each of you and it is my heart that you will receive it deep into your spirit.

“For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the WHOLE FAMILY in heaven and earth is named, that He (God) would grant YOU (according to the riches of His glory) to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man (spirit); that Christ may DWELL in your hearts by FAITH; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend (understand) with all the saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to KNOW the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that you might be FILLED with all the fullness of God. NOW UNTO HIM THAT IS ABLE TO DO exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the POWER that worketh IN US, unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”

Many of you are going through very difficult times right now…some are stressed due to financial burden, job loss, emotional issues, illness, family crises, environmental destruction, or just waiting on God to move on your behalf; all around you are what seem to be “impossibilities!” I want to tell you about three men who were in the middle of impossible situations and I encourage you to follow up and read about them in greater depth.

The first one is Joseph; a man I feel faced great tests throughout most of his young adult life. From about 18 through to 30 years of age he spent the greater part of his time under house arrest or in prison. Yet, he never lost his faith in God and through it all God prepared him for his day of greatness (Genesis 38-48). My heart is moved when I read how Joseph treated his brothers who had wanted to kill him (45: 5, 7, 8) “…Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life. And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. So now it was not you that sent me hither, BUT GOD: and He hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout the land of Egypt.”

Daniel is the second man I consider, for God used him greatly. However, Daniel was also one who faced great “impossibilities” during his life as, basically, a prisoner of war. Daniel never once gave up his personal love relationship with his heavenly Father. God was with Daniel and He shone through Daniel when Daniel was going through great testing and trials. King Nebuchadnezzar and Darius had their personal lives greatly impacted by Daniel’s God (Daniel 3: 25 – 4: 37; 6: 1-28). In Daniel 10: 11, 19 the Lord paid a personal visit to Daniel to tell him what was to happen in the distant future. He said to Daniel in both these verses, “O Daniel, a man greatly beloved…” God feels the very same about you, dear one.

The third example is Paul. Paul wrote the book of Ephesians while in a Roman prison. He wrote this incredible encouraging word while he was in the middle of his own “impossibility!” He encouraged us by saying in essence, “Now is the time, despite life’s difficulty, to consider the ABILITY, the GREATNESS, the GRANDEUR of my God!” Right in the midst of personal hardship he tells us about the “NOWNESS” of worshipping God. Friend, NOW IS THE TIME for YOU to experience the abundance and the fullness that God has come to give you in the face of your impossibility!

John 10: 10 tells us that the enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy…what? The promise of what Jesus tells us He has come to give, “I have come that they (YOU) might have LIFE, and that they (YOU) may have it more ABUNDANTLY!” Do you ever feel that you’re waiting on your circumstances to change before you will feel like you can experience God’s abundance? Do you think, IF I can just get out of this situation and into the next one, I just know God’s abundance will be waiting there for me? The “abundant life” is NOT when no impossible situations occur and you’re experiencing peace, joy, and happiness. While that is always a nice place to be; true abundance is really seen when you’re sitting in a prison circumstance; when you are facing eye to eye, an impossible situation and right in the heart of your impossible, you experience the fullness of God. It is when you can sing and worship God (see Paul & Silas in Acts 16: 22-34) right smack-dab in the middle of the worst time imaginable! You may be thinking that what I am telling you right now is totally impossible but, I assure you, GOD IS ABLE TO DO THE IMPOSSIBLE for you; trust Him.

HIS GLORIOUS CHURCH
(Part two)

Psalm 33

Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous;
it is fitting for the upright to praise Him.
Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to Him on a ten-stringed lyre.
Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.

For the word of the LORD is right and true;
He is faithful in all He does.
The LORD loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of His unfailing love.

By the word of the LORD were the heavens made,
their starry host by the breath of His mouth.
He gathers the waters of the sea into jars;
He puts the deep into storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the LORD;
let all the people of the world revere Him.
For He spoke, and it came to be;
He commanded, and it stood firm.
The LORD foils the plans of nations;
He thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever,
the purposes of His heart through all generations.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD,
the people He chose for His inheritance.
From heaven the LORD looks down
and sees all mankind;
from His dwelling place He watches
all who live on earth—
He who forms the hearts of all,
who considers everything they do.
No king is saved by the size of his army;
no warrior escapes by his great strength.
A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;
despite all its great strength it cannot save.
But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear Him,
on those whose hope is in His unfailing love,
to deliver them from death
and keep them alive in famine.

We wait in hope for the LORD;
He is our help and our shield.
In Him our hearts rejoice,
For we trust in His holy name.
May Your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD,
Even as we put our hope in You.

Peace and joy fill my heart when I read the words of this Psalm! What victory there is in knowing all God’s words are right and true; that they can be trusted. God does not lie, forget, change His words, or leave His promises unfulfilled (see also Genesis 2; Psalm 119: 105; Isaiah 55: 11,12; Jeremiah 23: 29; Matthew 24: 35; John 17: 17; 2 Corinthians 1: 21-22; Colossians 3: 15-17; Hebrews 4: 12, 13; 6: 13-20). God is consistent and faithful in His love; His intentions never change; He wavers NOT from what He has stated and that makes me feel very secure in His care! There have been many instances in my lifetime that my “trust in God” has been put to the test. However, even with all my personal efforts at trying to work things out, He has proven faithful in accomplishing exactly what I need in each and every situation (James 1: 17).

God has promised many blessings to His people (deliverance from fear, protection, goodness, provision, answers to prayer, etc.) but many of these blessings require our active participation. The conditions for enjoying the blessings are listening to God’s voice and then doing what He says! Throughout all dispensations, these have been unchanging requirements for living in a covenant relationship with God (see Exodus 19: 5). In John 10: 27, Jesus also described those whom He acknowledged as “His sheep”—that is, His disciples: “My sheep hear My voice…and they follow Me.”

Hearing the voice of the Lord implies an intimate relationship with Him in which He can speak to each one of us personally. His communication is Spirit-to-spirit; His Spirit to our spirit. His voice penetrates to the innermost depths of our being and He may speak to us in this way through His Word, or He may impart a word of direct revelation. Blessings result from hearing God’s voice and doing what He says; however, curses result from NOT hearing God’s voice and NOT doing what He directs (rebellion…see Deuteronomy 28: 3-68).

Peace and Joy Psalm 34 provides us with an extensive list of things we can put into place in our lives in order to appropriate the “good things / blessings” from above. God’s invitation to you: “Try this; I know you’ll like it.” The Bible often connects fear of the Lord (love and reverence for Him) with keeping His commandments (Ecclesiastes 12: 13). Obedience is the first step to discovering how good and kind He is. As we experience His goodness, our trust in Him increases. We may say that “we belong to the LORD”, but then we must also think about whether we revere Him? Do we demonstrate our respect and honor by a humble attitude and genuine worship? King David adds that a person who fears the Lord doesn’t lie, turns from evil, does good, and promotes peace (Psalm 34: 8-14). Therefore, a person who seeks peace cannot be argumentative and contentious and it is important that we see that peaceful relationships really are a product of our own efforts at peacemaking each day. Reverence is much more than sitting quietly in church; it includes obeying God in the way we speak and in the way we treat others.

I also want to point out verse 9 to you; those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. Maybe you feel you are lacking many good things. It is important that we remember that God KNOWS what each of us need and it is a fact that our deepest “needs” are most often spiritual. Many will face unbearable hardship and poverty, yet still have enough spiritual nourishment to continue to live for God. David is praising God for His goodness—that all who call upon God in their times of need will be heard, sometimes in unexpected ways. Perhaps God desires that we learn that we NEED HIM more than we need to achieve our immediate desires, or escape from the pain of grief, loss, failure in day to day life? I admit that I NEED Him in my life; that I NEED His help every moment of every day; and that I am so GRATEFUL for His faithfulness and for His many blessings in my own life!

Psalm 100
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before Him with joyful songs.
Know that the LORD is God.
It is He who made us, and we are His;
we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving
and His courts with praise;
give thanks to Him and praise His name.
For the LORD is good and His love endures forever;
His faithfulness continues through all generations.

God bless and keep each of you: Keep your focus on Christ Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith, and in ALL things, give God all the glory and praise!

The LORD would say unto you…
“Live in the joy of My constant presence, beloved. Yield every moment to Me. Give Me all your thoughts and your service will be glorious—your mind clear, your attitude calm and patient, at ease with others and yourself, transparent before Me, single of eye and intent. Ponder My Word deeply; rejoice in it, sing it, think it, and allow My zeal to perform it. Fear not… with God nothing is impossible.”

In YOU I Have My Being

“I AM the true vine, and My Father is the husbandman. Every branch in Me that beareth not fruit He taketh away; and every BRANCH that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the Word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me. I AM the vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me, ye can do nothing.” (John 15: 1-5)

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet NOT I, but CHRIST liveth IN ME: and the life that I NOW live in the flesh I live BY THE FAITH OF THE SON of GOD, Who loved me, and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2: 20).

“Oh LORD, I thank You for this revelation that it is not in my faith alone that I have my being; but as well, I LIVE BY YOUR FAITH JESUS. I give You all glory and praise for WHO I AM IN YOU!”

Throughout most of yesterday, I was seeking God about what I should write this week. Last night just as the sun was setting, I was gazing at the wooded area behind our home. It was quiet and the birds were still singing, the squirrels chattering, and the thought came, “God, thank You for the beauty in this moment.” Then these words came out of my mouth, “It is IN YOU I have my being.” Immediately after I said this peace flooded my heart; Holy Spirit was there, all around me (Romans 8). Very early this morning, Holy Spirit nudged me awake. I struggled to consciousness and groggily looked at the clock. “LORD, it’s only 3 A.M. surely this can wait until later?” Sometimes He will just move out of my way; but this A.M. He persisted and I got up. In that instant, I felt alert and He brought several thoughts into my mind.

“LORD, You KNOW everything and are in everything (Colossians 1: 12-19); if I have my being in You, why should I fear? LORD, You are EVERYWHERE; past, present, and future so therefore nothing is hidden from You (Psalm 139); if I have my being in You, then I must acknowledge that there is no place to hide from You. I can turn all my cares and worries over to You TRUSTING that You have my best interests at heart and the interests of those my life connects to. EVERYTHING IS YOURS Lord (Genesis 22: 8; Job 38: 41; Psalm 50: 10; Luke 12: 22-32). If I have my being in You, then I will always have all that I need.”

None of this was “new” to me; I had heard it all before and had read it in Scripture. I am sure I have said it to others but you know, sometimes God just lets you SEE Him. smile Hallelujah! I wondered if how I felt/am feeling is like Job felt when he was required to respond to God’s confrontation with him (Job 42). In verse 5 Job says, “I have HEARD of Thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye SEETH Thee.” (Isaiah 29: 18; Matthew 5: 8).

I Am The Vine My thoughts then turned to what “being” meant. The Oxford Dictionary defines it: noun; existence; essence or nature; constitution; existing person (human being). (BE-).

I HAVE MY EXISTENCE, MY ESSENCE (NATURE), AND CONSTITUTION IN JESUS! I believe this to mean that Jesus is to be CENTER in my life; my stabilizer, my fulcrum and that it is Him alone who is able to bring balance and order into all the things surrounding me in day-to-day life. If my being is in You, LORD and You are DOMINATE in my life, then every aspect of my life will bear fruit without my interference. You are the Vine, Jesus; I am just one of many branches that gets it’s nourishment through Your atoning work at the cross (Luke 4: 18-21; John 10: 10). As a branch, I have grown from the Vine; holding on and depending on the Vine to support my life by FAITH. smile Jesus prayed for His disciples (includes us today as His WORD is a TODAY WORD) in John 17. It would be a great blessing to you to study this chapter in detail. For me it is a perfect description of what I am saying and some specific verses are: 10, 11, 13, 21-23, 26.

“According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue: …For IF these things BE IN YOU, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the KNOWLEDGE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST” (2 Peter 1: 3-8).

“THEREFORE if any man be IN CHRIST, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, ALL THINGS ARE BECOME NEW” (2 Corinthians 5: 17). “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put WITHIN you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. AND I WILL put MY SPIRIT WITHIN YOU, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and ye shall keep My judgments, and do them” (Ezekiel 36: 26, 27). PRAISE THE LORD!

“I have blessed you with all you need to change your nature. As you change, you grow, are growing even now, in grace and power. The mind of Christ is in you. Holy Spirit courses through you and My unchangeable creativity surrounds you. REJOICE as I discipline and train you, so that My power working through you may quickly win the world. As you are Mine, all My power becomes yours for all I command you to do. Learn to appropriate it at a moment’s notice; emptied of self and doubt, depending on Me alone, trusting My right direction, clinging to Me. When you choose the way that prospers the soul, a wonderful shaping occurs—allowing prayers to be answered, troubles and grief to be dispelled. For, without Me, you can do nothing.”

Hold Fast To Our Hope

For when God made a promise to Abraham, since He had no one greater by whom to swear, He swore by Himself, saying, “Surely I will bless you and multiply you.” And thus Abraham, having patiently waited, obtained the promise. For people swear by something greater than themselves, and in all their disputes an oath is final for confirmation. So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of His purpose, He guaranteed it with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us (also Titus 1: 1-3). We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. … In Him (Jesus) we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him (God) who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His (God’s) will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of His (God’s) glory. And you were also included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed you were marked in Him (God) with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of His glory. … Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint (Hebrews 6: 13-20; Ephesians 1: 11-14; Isaiah 40: 28-3)

My husband and I were talking about the sudden death of a man who had no previous history of any major illness and I remarked, “None of us know the day or the hour that our life here will be over; all we have is this very moment” (see Luke 12: 40; 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18). Throughout my years in healthcare, I have known many people who were suddenly faced with the loss of a loved one. I believe that the worst part of any death is if the deceased had not experienced the “blessed hope” of salvation and the guarantee of eternal life in and through Jesus, the Christ. There are millions in the world today who have not accepted the truth that Jesus is the way and the truth and the life and that no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14: 6, 7) (also John 3: 16, 17; 5: 24- 27; 6: 40; 10: 28, 29; Romans 6: 23; Titus 3: 4-7; 1 John 5: 11, 12). I wonder about those who died in Japan and of them, how many were not prepared to face their final judgment? I wonder about those who are alive and if they have accepted Jesus as Lord and can look with hope to their eternal life after death. It should motivate each of us to take a look at where we are in our personal relationship with God.

So what is “HOPE”?

In the Bible, the word “hope” stands for both the act of hoping (Romans 4: 18; 1 Corinthians 9: 10) and the thing hoped for (Colossians 1: 5; 1 Peter 1: 3).

Hope does not arise from the individual’s desires or wishes but from God, WHO IS HIMSELF THE BELIEVER’S HOPE: “My hope is in You” (Psalm 39: 7).

Hope is a firm assurance about things that are unseen and still in the future (Romans 8: 24, 25; Hebrews 11: 1, 7).

Hope distinguishes the believer, in whom hope resides (1 Peter 3: 15; 1 John 3: 3) from the unbeliever, who has no hope (Ephesians 2: 12; 1 Thessalonians 4: 13).

Our hope comes from God, His grace, His Word, and His gospel (Colossians 1: 23).

Hope is directed toward God (Acts 24: 15) and Christ (1 Timothy 1: 1).

Hope’s appropriate objects are eternal life (Titus 1: 2; 3: 7), salvation (1 Thessalonians 5: 8), righteousness (Galatians 5: 5), the glory of God (Romans 5: 2), the appearing of Christ (Titus 2: 13), and the resurrection from the dead (Acts 23: 6; 26: 6, 7).

Some people hope that they will receive eternal life, but our certainty is based on God’s promise that He has given us eternal life through Jesus, His Son. Whoever believes in God’s Son has eternal life (John 6: 40). Eternal life is not based on feelings, but on facts. You can KNOW you have eternal life if you believe God’s truth! smile You don’t need to wait for eternal life because it begins the moment you believe. You don’t need to work for it because it is already yours. You don’t need to worry about it because you have been given eternal life by God Himself and it is guaranteed! Hallelujah!

Holy Spirit is God’s seal that we belong to Him and His deposit guaranteeing that He WILL DO WHAT HE HAS PROMISED. The presence of God’s Spirit in us demonstrates the genuineness of our faith, proves that we are God’s children, and secures eternal life for us (Ephesians 1: 11-14). Holy Spirit’s power works in us to transform us NOW (2 Corinthians 4: 16-18; Titus 3: 3-7) and it is a taste of the total change we will experience in eternity. Praise God for what we have now and for what we are able to look forward to (2 Corinthians 5: 1-5; Hebrews 11: 24-26; 2 Peter 3: 11-14)! The HOPE we have is not some vague feeling that the future will be positive, but it is the COMPLETE ASSURANCE within us of CERTAIN VICTORY THROUGH GOD! May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15: 13). There is a brighter day ahead…can you see it, do you believe it?

The LORD would say unto you…
“Waiting, trusting, and hoping are intricately connected, like golden strands interwoven to form a strong chain. Trusting is the central strand, because it is the response from My children that I desire most. Waiting and hoping embellish the central strand and strengthen the chain that connects you to Me. Waiting for Me to work, with your eyes on Me, is evidence that you do trust Me. If you mouth the words, “I trust You” while anxiously trying to make things go your way, your words ring hollow. Hoping is future-directed, connecting you to your inheritance in heaven. However, the benefits of hope fall fully on you in the present. Wait expectantly, in hopeful trust” (S. Young)

HIS GLORIOUS CHURCH

Come, my children, listen to Me;
I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
Whoever of you loves life
and desires to see many good days,
Keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from speaking lies.
(Psalm 34: 11-13)

God’s Word offers to teach us the fear of the Lord. The psalmist infers here that “life” and “many good days” go with the fear of the Lord. In Scripture, the measure in which we have the fear of the Lord is the measure in which we enjoy true life. One of the first areas of my life in which the fear of the Lord will be practically manifested is through my tongue and my lips. If I can keep my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking lies, then I can move into the fullness of the fear of the Lord.

Proverbs 13: 3 states: “He who guards his lips guards his soul, but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin.” How many of you “flap off at the gums” (my grandmother’s expression smile ) and immediately wish you hadn’t? Well, I do and probably much more frequently than I care to admit; however, I am getting better as time goes by! Praise the Lord! Your soul is your whole personality; it is the “real you”. Your soul is the area where weakness will be manifested first and where the enemy will gain access first. If you want to GUARD YOUR SOUL, YOU MUST GUARD YOUR LIPS. If you speak rashly (without first thinking about implications); you will come to ruin. If you control your tongue (count to 1000 slowly), you will have protection. God’s Word is VERY clear in the power this small organ has (many Proverbs, James 3) to bring life or death. If you guard your mouth and tongue; you guard your soul and life and are safe as Proverbs 21: 23 says, He who guards his mouth and tongue keeps himself from calamity.

“A wholesome (in Hebrew: healing of the tongue) tongue is a tree of life:
but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit” Proverbs 15: 4.

This passage suggests that perhaps many of us have tongues that are in need of healing? I wonder how many of us are aware that the words we may be speaking are giving the enemy an open door into our own life and circumstances. Have we recognized that our words can be an area of sin in our life? “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit” (Proverbs 18: 21). The alternatives are clear; it is either LIFE or DEATH and both are in the power of the tongue. If we use our tongues properly, they will be as a tree of life. Improper use results in death.

Good Fruit In Matthew 12: 33-36 Jesus says, “Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. You brood of vipers, how can you who are veil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you that men will have to give account on the Day of Judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted and by your words you will be condemned.”

The heart is the tree and the words are the fruit. The words coming out of the mouth tell us the condition of the heart. Our hearts are either good or evil all the way through! If you spill a pan of greasy, dirty water on the floor, you don’t have to examine the water left in the pan. You KNOW it is greasy and dirty as well. If impure, evil, unbelieving words come from your mouth; it is an indication of the state of your heart!

The good and bad trees represent two natures; the good tree is the “new man in Christ”; our old nature is like the tree that cannot produce any good fruit. Anything in our lives that has not been submitted to Christ Jesus will still produce fruit that corresponds to our old nature. Therefore, the problem of the tongue leads inevitably back to a problem within the heart. Solomon spoke a great truth in Proverbs 4: 23, “Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flows the springs of life.” Whatever flows out in your life or through your mouth originates in your heart. If your heart is pure, what flows from it will also be pure. I believe one of the best examples of how our words can affect our destiny is found in Numbers 13, 14 (take a few minutes to read this passage). I am struck by what the LORD says in 14: 28, “So tell them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the LORD, I WILL DO THE VERY THINGS I HAVE HEARD YOU SAY’…”

Death and life are in the power of the tongue. How much more clearly could that be illustrated? The men (in Numbers 13, 14) that spoke negatively settled for death. The men that spoke positively received life. They both settled their destinies by the words they spoke. When you face God’s promise concerning a certain situation, what are you going to do with your tongue? Are you going to give assent to the promise of God, saying out loud, “God said it, I am able”? Or, will you look at all your problems, knowing what God has said about them, yet still feel unable to accept His truth? I caution you, according to God’s Word, you will settle your destiny by the words that you speak and you will affect the destinies of others by what you speak over their lives.

Deuteronomy 28: 1-14 outlines God’s covenant promise of blessings that follow our obedience to all His commands and I would like to speak them over your life now…because I do BELIEVE there is GREAT POWER released when I speak God’s written Word over His people. You can appropriate these blessings as you completely submit all areas of your life unto Christ, who IS the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE!

The LORD God will…
Set you high above all nations on earth and the blessings will come upon you and accompany all who obey the LORD:
You will be blessed in the city and in the country
The fruit of your womb will be blessed
and the crops of your land and your livestock
Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed
You will be blessed coming in and going out
Enemies who rise against you will be defeated
You will have blessing on your barns and on all you put your hand to
He will bless you in the land He is giving to you
He will establish you as His holy people
He will grant you abundant prosperity- in your children, jobs, and in your nation
He will open the heavens and rain on all the works of your hands
You will lend to many and borrow from none
You are the head and in control; not the tail who follows
You are seated above all situations; not lying defeated beneath them.

A message to the body of Christ for this day:
“You, as a member of the Body of Christ will be as tree of righteousness; bowed down with the heavy bunches of fruit which are an outgrowth of God’s love which has been cast abroad in the hearts of His people by Holy Spirit. The fruit will draw people by the thousands out of their personal areas of darkness and into Christ’s glorious Light. The Fruit, the Bread, and the Water from the River of Life… all shall be poured into and out of the Body of Christ throughout the nations to give to the vast multitudes who will eagerly accept it and will eat and drink and they will never hunger and thirst again!

This is a year of GREAT HARVEST; especially in the very young children and young teenagers and it will be gathered in this season of great drought: for God’s ways are not ours and He will do what seems impossible to man. Go about the business our Father has called you to; do not look to the right or to the left, but go forward, trusting in Him to fulfill His perfect plan in you, through you, and into the world around you.

In daily prayer and in fasting, seek Him with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength and REJOICE, SING PRAISES, and GIVE GLORY TO GOD for His ABUNDANT BLESSINGS that ARE YOURS! Amen and amen!”

In Jesus’ Name,
Judy

JESUS LIVES

I have been tucked away for the past month caring for my aged mother as she grieves over the sudden loss of her husband of 65 years. My father died suddenly and fatally of a heart attack on February 26, 2013 and he will be missed by my mother and all of my siblings. Adding to this, my mother is having memory problems so we as a family will be needing to find a suitable and safe place for her to live in the coming days. Many families have already gone through a similar situation, but for us it has been a time of stretching and also of experiencing a “peace that passes all understanding.” I have had the privilege of actually physically, emotionally, and spiritually experiencing God’s amazing Presence as His love has saturated the moments of greatest pain and saddness. I am so very grateful for my precious Savior, my Friend, Who has walked with me through this valley; allowing me to lean into Him as I face each tomorrow. I praise Him and glorify Him with every breath that I have.

“Yet I am always with You, You hold me by my right hand. You guide me with Your counsel, and afterward You will take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but You? And earth has nothing I desire but You. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever” (Psalm 73: 23-26).

If I may, this post I will just freely write as Holy Spirit ministers to me and as I look unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith. I pray abundant blessing over each of you. I pray that you will experience the joy of His LIVING Presence in each of your todays.

“I so love this time of year; celebration of Christ’s amazing love and blood-bought VICTORY for each one who chooses to Believe! He lives in our hearts and although we can not see Him; we have this “knowing” through Holy Spirit Who gladly bears witness of the Truth within our hearts. It is so very wonderful, I can scarcely contain my joy in this precious mystery revealed to those who so love Him and long to see Him, face-to-face! One day, very soon my friend, we shall!

What a day that will be, when my Jesus I shall see; when I look upon His face, the One who saved me by His grace; when He takes me by the hand and leads me through the Promised Land; what a day, Glorious Day, that will be! No more sorrow, no sickness, no tears; just loving and worshipping our heavenly Father: UNITED as ONE BODY with our Head being the “first fruit” of VICTORY over death! Oh, Hallelujah!!!

Come Lord Jesus, come; fill us with Your glorious Presence. Let Your Light and Truth shine brightly through us to touch the darkness; for even the briefest light dispels darkness; there is no darkness where there is Light. ARISE and SHINE my brothers and sisters–be filled with His Presence (glory)! Let His LIFE be broadcast about us drawing, ever drawing the wounded and lost unto Jesus. Lift Jesus high in your life; let the world about you see Him through you. Rejoice and be glad… REJOICE and be GLAD; HE LIVES and soon He will catch up His Bride (the Church) and we shall be sitting at the Wedding Feast; our Marriage to the Lamb…the Son of God! Oh how wonderful; oh how glorious… our eternal life in Him and with Him will begin!!!

Praise the Lord! I look so forward to that day, don’t you?
