Our wants and our needs are two different things.  By trusting in Christ, our attitudes and appetites can change from wanting everything to accepting His provision.   “I AM getting all my needs met by my heavenly Father.”

“Let the WORD of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another in all wisdom…”

Yesterday I spoke about how we “feel” and I would like to suggest to you that this is not a good way to judge where you really are in your life.  If you have read the previous daily words, you will see that your “words have power” and people often say what they feel and actually begin to take it into their spirit.  Example:  “I am so tired today.”  If you say it, you can begin to talk yourself into it and your body will actually begin to feel it, right?  So, in the next couple weeks, I would like you to try speaking God’s TRUTH into your daily life and see if it brings about a better feeling about yourself, your day, and those who live with you and work around you!    “I AM a child of God.”  (Romans 8: 16)

There is often a feeling of “despair” when we feel we have failed at something we feel is important in life (i.e. marriage, parenting, eduaction, etc.).  You can continue to let this control your life or, you can look for the good things you have in today.

Joy in the Morning

“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed.  His compassions fail not.  They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”

 Each day God will reveal Himself to you if you will only take the time to look.

Holiness

 “Worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth.”

Please share how you are telling others about the majesty and holiness of God?  How would you define worship to the LORD.

Quietness

“In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength.”

It is in the stillness of your secret place that you will hear God’s whisper of love and encouragement.

Peace Be Still

“You rule over the surging sea; when its waves mount up, You still them.”

No matter where you look in the world today, there is apparent chaos.  Look instead to the Master of the sea.

Perfect Peace

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You.”

Is your inner life calm and unmoved, unrushed, assured, peaceful, and trusting?  Does your life express beauty and joy in a weary and troubled world?

Be Still

“Be still and know That I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Are you spending time alone with God?

Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid…

Life is in this very moment; make the best of it.  “Yesterday” is gone, “tomorrow” never comes.
