But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into Everlasting Life. (John 4: 14)
The story of the Samaritan woman who met Jesus at the well (John 4: 1-38) really describes where each of us were at one time in our life. How thankful I am that I drank freely of the Living Water (Salvation/Eternal Life) Jesus gave to me! I LIVE because of and by what Jesus did for me at the cross.
“Ho, every one who thirsts, come ye to the waters, and he who has no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do you spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfies not? hearken diligently unto Me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Come; drink freely!”
Be blessed as you listen to Casting Crowns song, “The Well” and if you click onto the picture of the water you will have an extra blessing 🙂

Greetings!
My Cup is half empty
My cup is half full
My cup is half empty
My cup is half full
NO! Thank the Lord my cup is full and running over with His blessings.
One of those blessings is you, my friend. You have blessed me – you have blessed my children in Africa, Nepal and India. Yes! My cup runneth over with blessings.
My cup runneth over, surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
Psalm 23:5-6
I recently read an article about health. It said being thankful reduces your blood pressure. A large percentage of we Americans suffer with high blood pressure, including me. (Doesn’t that seem strange when we, of all people, have so much for which we should be thankful?)
When I read that article I resolved that I would be more thankful – that I would get up with a prayer of thanksgiving on my lips every morning – but will I really? I know myself well enough to know I have to work on being grateful in my attitude and spirit. I grew up with a dad who always saw the cup “half empty”. I could blame him because I often have a tendency to see my cup half empty, but is it really his fault? Don’t I have a choice?
My dad lost his young 24 year old wife after only 6 years of marriage. He was left alone with an almost 5 five year old daughter to raise. He had lots of things and people to blame for his “half empty cup” attitude. So many of us do blame others for anything negative in our lives. However, let’s be honest. We do have a choice.
Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! And let them sacrifice the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and declare His works with rejoicing.
Psalm 107:21-22
Today I resolve to never again see my cup half empty, but always see it half full – NO, full and running over. But will I really?
Will I –
look at my family or friends and point out the negative
OR
say ” I am so glad they love and serve the Lord. Thank you Lord for giving them to me; they are wonderful.”
Will I –
stand in my closet and say I have nothing to wear
OR
say, “Thank you, God, that I have clothes to wear.” (Unlike so many others I have seen all over the world.)
Will I –
sit down to a meal and complain about something not
being just right
OR
say,”Thank you Lord, I always have plenty of food to eat.” (Unlike over half the people in the world.)
Will I –
constantly complain about my nation
OR
say, “Praise the Lord, I live in America where I have the privilege of openly going to church and serving You without fear for my life. I also have the freedom to vote and make a difference in my nation.”
Will I –
look at my desk stacked high with work and complain about the long hours at the office, the long hard trips, and seldom a day off to relax, shop, or even to keep up my own home.
OR
praise the Lord that I have a nice home (I don’t live in a cardboard box as I have seen others do) and that I have the awesome privilege of telling others of His great love for them and the children; thank Him that at this age He still gives me the health and strength to partner with Him in the Great Commission –
TO GO.
Will I –
look at the stack of unsponsored children’s pictures and complain that so few are willing to help a child?
NO
I will and I do look at the many children you, my friends, sponsor and I thank the Lord for you.I thank Him that you are making a difference in a child’s life and in their world.
Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon His name, make known His deeds among the people.
1 Chronicles 16:8
Because of your help we are taking care of children in 15 locations in India, Africa and Nepal. I am amazed at the difference in the attitude of the leaders or administrators of these ministries. When we send our support some immediately write telling us how empty their cup is and all the needs they still have. They ask that we send more right away. My reaction often is, “Don’t they realize we are doing all we can to help, they could at least be thankful?” Then others, whom I know have just as many needs, write thanking us profusely. They tell us what a miracle we are for them and the children and how God, through God Loves Kids is making such a difference for the kids.
I think, “Oh, how I wish I could do more for them. I know there is so much more they need, Lord help me to be able to bless them in a greater measure.” I know this is very human thinking but, I believe that is God’s reaction to us also.
Today I resolve to:
• bring down my blood pressure
• to be more thankful
• to start every day thanking God for His many blessings in my life. (He already knows I am needy)
• to be more thankful for my family, my friends and for you who make this ministry to the children possible.
In Him,
Lovie Phillips

“We thank you, O God! We give thanks because you are near. People everywhere tell of your wonderful deeds.” Psalm 75
“It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High.” Psalm 92
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name.” Psalm 100
“Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.” Psalm 105
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.” Psalm 106, 107, 118,136
Thanksgiving Day comes, by statute, once a year; to the honest man it comes as frequently as the heart of gratitude will allow.
Give thanks for unknown blessings already on their way.
The unthankful heart discovers no mercies; but let the thankful heart sweep through the day and, as the magnet finds
the iron, so it will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings!
As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.
Thanksgiving, after all, is a word of action.
He who thanks but with the lips
Thanks but in part;
The full, the true Thanksgiving
Comes from the heart.
Thou hast given so much to me,
Give one thing more, – a grateful heart;
Not thankful when it pleaseth me,
As if Thy blessings had spare days,
But such a heart whose pulse may be Thy praise.
For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.
Let us remember that, as much has been given us, much will be expected from us, and that true homage comes from the heart as well as from the lips, and shows itself in deeds.
Grace isn’t a little prayer you chant before receiving a meal. It’s a way to live.
To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch Heaven.
A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all the other virtues.
We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.
God has two dwellings; one in heaven, and the other in a meek and thankful heart.
–The head may seek God, but it is the heart that finds Him. Jeremiah 29:13 —
“This is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God,
and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.” John 17:3

The practice of thanking God frequently as you journey through each day makes it possible to “pray without ceasing”. If you seriously want to pray continually, the best approach is to thank the Lord in every situation. The thankful prayers provide solid foundation on which to build all other prayers. A GRATEFUL attitude makes it easier to communicate with the Lord.
When your mind is occupied with THANKING GOD, you will have no time for worrying or complaining. If you practice thankfulness consistently, negative thought patterns gradually grow weaker and weaker. DRAW NEAR to the Lord with a grateful heart, and His Presence will FILL YOU WITH JOY and with PEACE

Thank you Israel…for your update from Israel and for the wonderful testimonies of God’s unfailing faithfulness!
One of my favorite books of the Bible is Colossians and I would like to pray for you, Israel, for your family, and the ministry God has called you to, in Israel…for those who will hear the call of God and for those who have already responded and chosen Christ (Messiah) as their Lord.
“I give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you since I have heard of your Faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love you have to all the saints (especially in Israel); for the hope which is laid up for you in Heaven. I desire that you might be filled with ever-increasing knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. That you might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work you are doing, and increasing in knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His Glorious Power, unto all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness giving thanks unto the Father, which has made you (us) qualified to be a partaker/s of the inheritance of the saints in Light, in Jesus name (see Colossians 1). I pray for His continued protection, provision, and anointing on all you are doing as unto Him. Amen.”

News & Prayer Update
Novemeber 2011
Shalom dear Judy,
“Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption. He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.” Psalm 130:7-8
Thank you for your prayers. Since our last report, the rocket attacks from Gaza on our cities have stopped. IDF have done an amazing job eliminating several groups of terrorist who’ve been launching rockets at the south. There were no casualties among the Palestinians, but on our side there were casualties – all civilians, several people were hurt, buildings, residencies, schools and vehicles were damaged.
Please pray that there may be “…peace on Israel” (Psalm 128:6)
As a pastor I was very moved to see the folks from our congregation didn’t isolate themselves in their houses hiding in fear of rockets, but that they went to their neighbors, colleagues at work and everybody around them to bring them hope and encouragement through God’s word.
The result was six people who received the Lord that week when we were under rocket attacks.

Rocket attacks stopped – Spiritual attacks continue
Six months ago one of the biggest anti-messianic demonstrations was held by Ultra-Orthodox community right outside our congregation, with the sole purpose of stirring up hatred towards us, the Messianic believers in Ashdod, while trying to get us to stop our work, shut down our congregation and make us leave town.
The demonstration that was lead by Ashdod’s head Rabbis, and included hate speech and threats that they will do whatever it takes to hinder and ultimately stop our work. They also expressed their anger at the fact that most of our work is enabled through the generosity, financial gifts and support of fellow believers from the nations.
They ended the demonstration with calls to curse us, pray against us and our work using any method including Kabbalah and witchcraft (mysticism in Judaism). After that, we’ve been regularly spotting small groups of Orthodox right outside our building, praying against us and using incantations to curse us. We also sometimes would find evidence of their practiced witchcraft against us in the form of little objects that resemble voodoo practice.
Recently, the Orthodox have visited two families from our congregation, and within one month both families left Beit Hallel.
That, along with significant and sudden decrease in partner’s support for our humanitarian & social projects as well as mission work and evangelism, had led us to carefully pray and fast in order to find the reason for these sudden difficulties and hindrances. It brought us to the conclusion that it is indeed rooted in this “witch-hunt” style campaign launched against us by the Ultra Orthodox and Rabbinical authorities, which are using the occult to destroy our congregation and stop the work of our ministry.
We know what the Bible says in Galatians 3:13, “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us…” And we thank God that despite everything, in the past months the congregation has grown, many new people received the Lord, people are being healed, lives are changed.
We need your prayers and generous support more than ever to continue carrying the gospel to the people of Israel. God is a miracle working God, but He’s looking for coworkers who’ll take on His vision for His people and support it any way they can.
We urge you to become God’s coworker in the Land of Israel, standing shoulder to shoulder with Him and us, supporting the work of Voice of Judah.

From a terrorist attack survivor to a follower of Yeshua – Deborah’s testimony
In 2005, Deborah was fresh out of University, full of hope, dreams and enthusiasm at what lies ahead. She started thinking about her future and decided to move to Netanya to pursue the career she wanted.
One day, she was standing at a red light along with many other people, waiting to cross the street, when suddenly she felt a strong urge to cross the street immediately without waiting for the light to turn green. She did, and then turn around and at that very instant she witnessed a big explosion right in the very spot where she was standing seconds before.
The impact of the explosion was so big that several people were thrown across the street and landed right at Deborah’s feet, seriously injured and bleeding. The next thing she remembers was screams of terror, strong smell of blood, sounds of sirens, shock.
She was paralyzed by the shock of seeing such carnage, helplessness of wounded, screams of parents who were holding the dead bodies of their small children, cries of people passing by who reluctantly became witnesses of such terror. But the biggest shock for Deborah was to realize she was supposed to be dead just like the people that stood next to her before she crossed the street.
In the following 6 months, Deborah sank into a deep depression, when all she could do was cry out to God, “Why me? Why those people had to die and I got to live when I don’t deserve to?”
Despite the deep emotional trauma, after a year Deborah somehow managed to pick up the pieces and try to get back to her normal life. She got married, had two beautiful daughters when she took another blow, this time it was the betrayal of a her beloved husband – who one day got up, left Deborah and their daughters without notice and moved to Canada.
But just like the Bible says, even if everyone forsakes you, God will never leave you. Deborah met some believers who shared the gospel with her and her heart caught fire with renewed hope, she immediately prayed to receive Yeshua as her Lord and Savior and she was filled with joy of having finally met God.
Recently, I and a dear sister from Finland went to visit Deborah and we had a wonderful time encouraging her, speaking about God’s love, faithfulness and His calling on her life. We told her that her life was spared so she could devote it to Him and raise her children to serve the Lord.
Deborah is one of many single mothers who receive our humanitarian assistance, she has so many needs and you have an opportunity to help support a mother and her children in Israel by blessing this “daughter of Abraham” (Luke 13:16)
You can also write Deborah words of encouragement and we’ll make sure she gets your message. It will really mean so much to her to know that she has brothers and sisters all over the world who pray for her and care about her and her family.

The Birthday of a dear man
A few weeks ago I’ve been invited to celebrate 80th birthday of Aaron.
Aaron is the founder and chairman of “Holocaust Survivors & Children of World War II” organization in Ashdod. We were invited to celebrate with him his birthday and his life. He read to us a poem he wrote sharing about his life and his struggles. That despite the early years of his childhood that he spent in a concentration camp, he is grateful that God brought him back home to the Promised Land, that he blessed him with a beautiful wife, children, grandchildren and now even great-grandchildren.
I was very touched to hear about the times before the war, when this little boy used to play “house” with his little neighbor, Raya. They were separated by war, and fate would have it that 15 years later they randomly saw each other while walking down the street in a completely different city than one they both grew up in. Two months later they were married and haven’t separated since. This year, Aaron and Raya celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary.
We considerate an honor to be friends with Aaron as well as many other Holocaust survivors from his organization; It’s a privilege for us to be able to help them monthly with food parcels, organizing social events for them, letting them know that it’s not only us that care about them, that there are Christians like you that love them, pray for them and generously send us gifts that support the help we’re offering them regularly.
We also encourage you whenever you’re in the land, to come with us to visit these precious people, breath in fresh hope into this slowly disappearing generation. They fought our wars, Israel was built on their blood and tears and now they are alone and need our help.
A gift of as little as $20 may seem insignificant, but that is the price of each food parcel we provide each month for them.
“It’s not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving.” – Mother Theresa

Another soldier in the Pochtar family
Recently my 19 year old niece, Sarit, has joined the IDF and is now serving in the army. Unfortunately, due to the ever present security threat, army service is compulsory for everyone, boys serve 3 years and girls 2 years.
My son Sason is now 18 years old and soon he will also go to the army.
Many believers serve in the Israeli Defense Forces today, and they have wonderful opportunities to witness to their peers. Please pray for them to have boldness to continue sharing the gospel with their friends. Military service is often very challenging, especially at such a young age, and even though Sarit is very excited about serving in the army and she understands the great responsibility it is, sometimes she feels a little overwhelmed and she comes to visit us, just to see the family and receive encouragement.

Please PRAY!
1. For peace in Israel – against Hamas’ terrorist activity as well as other terrorist organizations from Gaza.
2. For our soldiers’ protection, courage and boldness in preaching the gospel and defending Israel’s borders.
3. For God’s divine protection – against evil prayers, curses and witchcraft that is practiced and released against us, our families and our ministry.
4. For Deborah – to continue growing in the knowledge of God.
5. For our Humanitarian & Social work among the poor and needy.
6. For our team of evangelists – God’s power, open and receptive hearts.
7. For revival in Israel – God’s fire to sweep through the nation.
8. For financial breakthrough and stability for Voice of Judah Israel, for the Lord to send us likeminded coworkers/partners who are passionate to see revival in Israel.

Subject: Tomorrow’ Theme”God Has a Plan for you”
“Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.” Genesis 45:5
Are you going through a situation this morning that you can’t figure out? Are you wondering how you are going to make it? Are you fearful of the outcome? Do things look hopeless? Are you wondering how you are going to get out of it? Be encouraged this morning. You may not understand it, you may not have it under control, you may not be able to figure it all out, but you don’t have to– God has a plan.
When the Israelites were hemmed in between the Red Sea and Pharaoh’s army, they didn’t know what they were going to do but God had a plan. He planned to open up the sea, bring them to safety and destroy their enemy at the same time. When Daniel was thrown into the lion’s den, he didn’t know what the outcome was going to be, but God had a plan. He planned to shut the lions’ mouths and protect him. When the three Hebrews were thrown into the fiery furnace, God had a plan. He planned to be with them in the fire and keep the flame from kindling upon them. When Paul was cast into prison, God still had a plan. A plan to give Paul revelation and insight about Himself to share with us through His written word. When Joseph was betrayed by his brothers, God had a plan. His plan was to save the nation of Israel. When mankind fell in the Garden of Eden and brought sin and death into the world- God had a plan. His plan was to send a Savior- His own Son.
Whatever you may be going through this morning don’t worry, don’t fret, don’t be anxious or fearful because while you may not understand it all or see anything good— God has a plan. His plan may be to reveal who He is to you in a greater way than ever before. It may be to work out His likeness in you. His plan may be to use what you are going through as a testimony to someone else. Who knows what His plan may be- His ways are not our ways and neither are His thoughts our thoughts. But know this– things don’t just happen, our trials are not in vain and when they come- God has a plan. And His plan is to “work all things together for your good”.
Have a great day. When you don’t understand it, when you can’t figure it out, when you don’t know what you are going to do, just remember– God has a plan so don’t worry.

Thanks Carlos; I stand on God’s promises; for in Him (Jesus) they are all “Yes” and in Him (Jesus) “Amen” (they will not change), unto the glory of God by us (our everyday life in Christ brings God glory)! (2 Corinthians 1: 21) And, YES He DOES WORK all things together for our good! Praise God! 🙂

I am very excited, I spoke to my aunt who lives in Florida. I have not seen my uncle and aunt since I was 8 years old, I am 56 years old now. I found out that just about all my cousins are missionaries and preachers. They go all around to minister, my uncle used to go to the prison and minister, but the person who would allow him to go, is no longer there and the other person won’t let him come in. She will be sending me pictures of all my cousins and pictures of my uncle and aunt. Very exciting what God has done with my family from my mothers side. I started to get upset at myself because I allowed things to get in the way of what God wanted, but that is going to change. I was always feeling insecure, always feeling that I wasn’t good enough, always feeling that I didn’t deserve what God had for me, always saying why me, why do you want me? Love me if you want, but for now on if God tells me to say something I will say it, I will do it in love. Then it’s up to you to receive it or not, it will be between you and God, I will be right before the Lord, because I have told you what He has shown me. I always heard that it’s never too late, wished that I could have done it sooner but I will get up dust myself off, and continue from where I left off. I used to send out a devotional and I stopped it because of the things that were going on in my life. When you do something for God, never stop it, unless He is telling you to stop. I used to minister to over 200 people online in my yahoo account. Lord forgive me for allowing things to get in the way of what you wanted. Help me to get up and continue going the direction you want.

Praise God, Madeline! Take a drink from His water and be refreshed; allow God to restore all the enemy has stolen. I think of Lot when he was taken hostage by the 5 kings and when Abraham heard of it, he took 318 men and recovered all the enemy had stolen!(Genesis 14) God is Faithful to His kids. Get up and get going, my sister! 🙂
