GOD’S INTENTION

FOUNTAIN OF BLESSING

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness… So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.  And God blessed them, and God said unto them,  Be FRUITFUL, and MULTIPLY, and replenish the earth, and SUBDUE it:  and have dominion … (Genesis 1: 26 – 28).

In the Old Testament the meaning of blessing is to be happy with where you are and in the New Testament it is to have an understanding of God’s full intention; His favor.  We often use the word “Blessing” as a spiritual salutation, “I bless you”, or we may say, “I want to be blessed by the Lord.”  We are thinking that God is going to do something good for us and it makes us feel good.

Based on definition, God’s first mention of “blessing” in His Word, and along with other passages that talk about blessing, I suggest it means much more than a casual greeting.

When we bless someone we’re actually speaking forth a prophetic statement over that person’s life that means,  “May the Lord grant you all of the intentions that He has purposed for you from the beginning of time.”  (regardless of what has happened in your past, or where you may be right now).

How powerful is that?  VERY!  We as believers need to be BLESS-ERS, not ACCUS-ERS!

Here is a song by the Gaithers that I pray will be a blessing to you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h03HlrSMFEs

    Pure Call
But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them
that curse you, do good to them that hate you,
and pray for them which despitefully use you and
    persecute you.
That ye may be the children of your Father which
is in heaven; for he maketh his sun to rise on the
evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just
    and on the unjust.
For if you love them which love you, what reward
have ye? Do not even the publicans the same?
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye
more than others? Do not even the publicans so?
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which
    is in heaven is perfect.
    Matthew 5:44-48

What does it mean to truely love all people the
way the Lord loves them! Do we just love the
ones that are lovely? How pure is our hearts?

    Love,
    In Christ,

    Lump of Clay

“Yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand” (Isaiah 64:8).
    Scripture Focus: Jeremiah 18:1-6

Many of the changes that come about in our lives are not welcomed by us. If the lump of clay being kneaded by the potter could cry out, I am sure it would! Being molded and pressed and worked doesn’t feel good. Yet if the lump of clay could know the stunning piece of artwork or the very useful water pitcher the artisan would create of it, perhaps he would keep silent. An audacious lump of clay that would be who would call out in defiance to the craftsman, the one who knows the shape he wants that clay to have.

There have been times of distress and hardship in my life that have hurt deeply. The process of getting through has pinched me, pressed me and pulled me in directions I didn’t want to go. In my boldness I questioned the Lord’s ways. Yet here I am today, His humbled vessel, filled up and spilled out time and time again in ways that have been able to give Him glory. Far be it from me to challenge the Master Craftsman, my Father and my Lord.

    IN GOD WE TRUST….CARLOS.

    • Thank you Carlos; I believe we have all been on the Potter’s wheel from time to time!

In order to POUR out to others, we must be poured into; so it is good if there are no cracks in us that would keep us from being RE-filled. A verse that speaks to this is also in Jeremiah; 2: 13.

  4. Prayer Request Week of December 5-11, 2011 For the Honduras work:

As this year draws to a close, let us give praise to the Lord for all that He has done this year. This year the work that has been done has begun to produce fruit. The number of people who are being impacted has probably more than doubled in this year. Churches and Discovery Bible Studies are multiplying. God is answering prayer!

    1) Pray for N who has studies in Zapotal. Pray that he will continue to start more studies with others.

    2) Pray for the study in Territos that they would be encouraged to start new studies with others.

    3) Pray for the DBS that J leads in La Hacienda

    4) Pray for Z and his family in Concepcion. He previously had a DBS then he stopped. Pray that all the obstacles that hindered the DBS last time will be done away with and that a wide and effectual door will be opened there and that Z will walk thru that door.

    5) Pray for the church that is meeting in Mario’s house in Tocoa that they would be doers of the word and not become hearers only. Pray that the correct DNA will be transmitted to them so that this new church will reproduce rapidly starting many new DBS in the city of Tocoa.

    6) Pray that B will be able to start new DBS’s in his neighborhood in the village of La Independencia

    7) Pray that P, S and family in San Jose Copantillo will decide to get baptized.

    8) F and L in Tres Cruces that they will participate more in the studies and that they will decide to get baptized.
    9) Pray for Jacobo’s Dad and Mom as they have both been sick.

    10) Pray for David, Randy, and Keith as they prepare to meet next week to work on plans and strategy for the project for 2012. Pray that God will give them wisdom and understanding in all plans.

    11) Pray for the financial provision for this project for 2012.
There are important opportunities and needs and God’s provision is needed to be able to go forward.

    • We really need to pray into Honduras and the other countries and the people represented on the blog posts (Kenya, Uganda, Congo, Rwanda, Tanzania, India, USA, Netherlands, Mexico, Haiti, Phillippines, Cambodia, Indonesia, Mongolia, China, Uruguay, Israel, Canada, etc.).

Our prayers USHER IN the working of God in all situations; it is VITALLY important! You can read the comments and SEE how God IS moving in compassion and love; He is in cxontrol…we have to choose to BELIEVE this is so! Amen.

When my mother first started to drive she was very nervous. My daughter went somewhere with her one day and when Mom came to a yellow YIELD light, my daughter said, “Grandma you have to DIG IN and GET GOING!” 🙂 I think we need to DIG INTO OUR FAITH and GET GOING in what God has already BLESSED us to accomplish in Christ! Praise the Lord! 🙂

  5. December 5, 2011.
The thoughts which have come to your mind lately are many and varied. Two in particular have set up camp. “God where are you?” And “Have you forgotten me?” Even though you don’t see Me at work in your life, I am. Way down in your heart there’s a spark and you know I care. My Spirit will soon blow His breath on that spark. Get beyond your own needs and begin speaking blessings to others. You will be amazed at what happens in their lives and also in yours. I have not forgotten you. I have said so in My Word and My Spirit has sealed it in your heart.

Ephesians 4:29-30 (NASB) “Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” Bev Robinson

Jesus said, “Permit the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them.” Act now: Year End Special Gift

    • Great word for this day and every day Bev; thank you.

And all His people said, “Praise the Lord!”
