Enveloped In His Shadow (Glory)

After this I heard what sounded like the ROAR of a great multitude in heaven shouting; “HALLELUJAH!  Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, …”  (Revelation 19: 1)  He who DWELLS in the shelter (secret place) of the Most High WILL REST IN the shadow (GLORY) of the Almighty.  (Psalm 91: 1)

His Covenant

EXPECT to encounter adversity in your life; we live in a deeply fallen world.  When things are going well for us it often masks our NEED for the Lord.  When we became a “believer” God infused His very LIFE into us, empowering us to LIVE on a SUPERNATURAL plane as we depend on Him.

ANTICIPATE coming face to face with impossible situations that are totally beyond your ability to handle.  Awareness of your inadequacy is exactly the place where God wants you to be…it is the place where you will encounter Him in His GLORY and power.  When you see armies of problems marching towards you, you need to get deep into the shelter(glory) of His Presence and allow Him to fight for you.  Under the canopy of His GLORY you will have no fear of pestilence, nor plague.  A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand; but it will NOT come near you…nothing can touch you, for you are enveloped in His glory and you will only observe these things with your eye.  That’s His  PROMISE to you, Christian!  🙂  RELEASE BY FAITH His glory from you into all areas affecting your life and the lives of others, to the honor and glory of His name!

In The Shadow Of The Almighty

“For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their prayer…”  (1 Peter 3: 12)

My Praying Mother

Do you KNOW that the prayers  of someone have helped to bring you to where you are in your spiritual journey?  My mother prayed and is praying for me every day and it was through her prayers and her faith that I am where I am in Christ today.

In July, 2011 my mom had a severe heart attack.  God allowed me time to be with her in the early days of her recovery.  One morning (about 5: 30) I was sitting with her as she read her Bible.  She fell asleep while reading and I took this pictue.  I believe God’s Presence IS PEACE and that He NEVER leaves or forsakes His own.

Do you know peace like this?  Are you praying in faith for others?

Under The Shadow Of The Almighty

Peace

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”  (Psalm 91: 1)

We as humans have a voracious appetite for trying to figure things out in our life.  Why?  The world presents us with an endless series of problems and as soon as we fix one problem, another will pop up to challenge us.  King Solomon was considered the wisest of all men but he could never think his way through to peace.  His vast understanding resulted only in feelings of utter futility rather than fulfillment.  We must be as children; not relying on our own understanding, but in everything, trusting God and allowing Him to take complete control of all aspects of our lives.  When we do, He will envelope us in Peace.

INITIATIVE

“…it is by grace (unmerited favor) you have been saved.”

It is awesome to know that in Christ there is no condemnation and we can choose to be “free” in and through Him.  So often we are quick to point out the guilt in another, but the truth is, we are all sinners saved by God’s grace.  “I AM forgiven.”  (Colossians 1: 13, 14)

INITIATIVE

“Do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

I don’t think there is one day that passes where something doesn’t come up that we could worry about.  Too often, the thing we worry over never actually happens.  In time, physical disability (i.e. ulcers, high blood pressure, etc.) can occur secondary to the “unnecessary worry.”  “I AM casting all my cares on Jesus.”  (Philippians 4: 19)

INITIATIVE

“And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.”

There never seems to be a day where I can get everything “right” as a Christian.  Either I get upset with my husband and bark at him, or I hear something that flies all over me and I verbalize all kinds of negativity about it.  I thank God for grace.  “I AM above only and not beneath.”  (Deuteronomy 28: 13)

INITIATIVE

“If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.”

I read a quote some time ago and it really spoke to my spirit.  It stated that the reason evil thrives is that the good do nothing about it.  I look at the world about us and I wonder if I am doing what I can to make a positive change, right where I am.  “I AM exercising my authority over the enemy.”  (Luke 10: 19)

INITIATIVE

“I am the voice of one calling in the desert, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.'”

As a believer you cannot open or close the kingdom of heaven for others, but God will use your life as a testimony that will help them recognize their need for Christ.  “I AM a laborer together with God.”  (1 Corinthians 3: 9)

INITIATIVE

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and with all your mind.”

For many of us, I think this is the hardest thing to do.  There are so many “things” in the world that compete with God for “first” place in our lives.  For example, our time.  When you have extra time on your hands, do you make the choice to spend it alone with God, or is there something else you would rather be doing?  “I AM being transformed by the renewing of my mind.” (Romans 12: 2)

INITIATIVE

“…For the things which are seen are temporary; the things not seen are eternal.”

We often compare what we have with what others have:  ‘keeping up with the Jones’; however, it is important to remember that God looks at things like our character and our actions towards others.  Do we act out of His love (selfless), or for our own gain (selfish)?  “I AM not moved by what I see.”  (2 Corinthians 4: 18)
