Streams of Living Water
“Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the skies…How priceless is Your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of Your wings. They feast on the abundance of Your house; You give them drink from Your river of delights. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light” (Psalm 36: 5-9)
I was hiking in the Appalachian mountains a few days and took several pictures of some of the waterfalls and stream beds. God revealed “ministries” to me at this particular spot. Each believer in Jesus Christ and His accomplished work at the cross has a ministry and you are represented in one of these small streams. As other streams join with yours, the width, depth, speed, etc. is increased. Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He directed a specific message (Commission) to the disciple/s (Matthew 28: 18,19).
As I thought more about this, the story of Pentecost came to me (check out Acts 1: 5; 2: 1-4, 42 -47). Each stream is able to accomplish something, for God knew you and chose you before the foundation of the world; all your days He fashioned when as yet there were none of them. Yet, He has MANY streams and He WILL bring them together to become ONE that is much deeper, wider, and faster and it will accomplish His global work with greater efficiency and power.
Ephesians 2: 11-22 tells us about the barriers that can keep streams from coming together: age, appearance, intelligence, political persuasion, economic status, race, theological perspective (denominations); basically, anything that is even a tiny bit different than your stream. Fortunately for each of you, Christ KNOCKED DOWN all the barriers and HE IS BRINGING TOGETHER A UNITED FORCE by the power of His Spirit!

God has brought them all to this place and for this time with His purpose ahead. Each of them have talents, visions, and prayer power that can be shared in order to accomplish EXPONENTIAL GLOBAL GOD IMPACT. Watch and see what GOD IS ABLE TO DO through you!

Together we are stopping human trafficking and eliminating poverty.
This week we begin a project in Heber, UT-A greenhouse!
One of the churches there have decided to help in this fashion.
The first harvest goes to the workers who are tending the garden.
The excess harvest will be sold for donations so neighbors will get fresh organic vegtables year round.
And the money raised will go building Village of Hope in Asia-
(A high intensity garden that feeds the orphans we rescue off the streets and out of brothels!)
The children will then sell the excess and support their own training center and children’s home.
YOUR GENEROSITY HAS GIVEN LIFE TO HUNDREDS OF CHILDREN IN ASIA!

I received this request for prayer for friends that many of you and others have been praying for over almost a year. Ron had recent kidney transplant and both he and his wife Sandy are now struggling as theycome through a major breakthrough. With that, there is often a post-trauma toll on the body, soul, and spirit. I think of Elijah after his confrontation victory over the prophets of Baal and Elijah’s subsequent fear as the wicked Jezebel threatened him with his life and flew into the desert and prayed he might die….BUT GOD (see 1 Kings 18: 22 – 19: 11). I know Sandy and Ron are not running, but they are exhausted and they need all of us to cover them in prayer at this time. Please join in with others to stand in the gapfor them. Many thanks!
Subject: Prayer for Ron and Sandy
I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind sending out a prayer request for
Ron to those who have been contending with us? Ron has a
great deal of pain in his feet and has not been able to get
sleep. The last few days he has been very weak and finding it hard to fight.
This is a time for his body to fight and gain ground. The kidney is
functioning 40% and will continue to increase with the grace of God.
This is a critical time and he needs some strength to gain the ground
that is needed over these next weeks. Thanks for the prayers on
his behalf.
Sandy is fighting a strong cough in her chest. I am a little
concerned as it is over 10 days now. Both of them are worn down from the long
journey they have been on and have so little to fight with. We
really need a break through now!

I also needed to let some of you know that I had sent you a message about praying on the new Blog site and gave the wrong address for it… It seems there are several external whirlwinds blowing about me right now …so pray for me if you have a minute. My dear sister who was a faithful prayer partner each week for almost 6 years; then 1 year off and on as we were able to meet as a group, went to be with the Lord after a short 3 month battle with lung cancer. Her funeral is Friday this week and then another friend from church went to be the Lord two days ago and his funeral is tonite. I rejoice in the promise of ETERNAL LIFE; and although I shall miss them…I KNOW I WILL SEE THEM AGAIN!!! Praise the LORD!
What blessed assurance there is to know where we will be, eh? It is my prayer that through each of your lives; many will SEE JESUS in an ever increasing GLOW, and that there will be a hunger and thirst for a relationship with Him…lead them into His arms all you people!!!

Subject: Some additional prayer requests
Dear Intercessor,
Normally we won’t send multiple prayer emails in 1 week, but I wanted to update you on a couple of things and then give a very special request about David Watson our mentor in church planting movement strategy.
1. Keith and Juanita Travis have their big meeting today.
This is the big day for them. They have to be there at 7:15 a.m. There are 31 interviews to be conducted tomm. They are number 25. Pray all goes well. Clarity of mind and wsidom to answer correctly and that they will have peace and not be so nervous.
2.
Beto called and they are having complications with the surgery. He is a key Honduran leader and needs a complete healing and encouragement.
3. David Watson sent this request for prayer for his wife Jan.
My wife, Jan, has been diagnosed with a serious fungal infection that will cause blindness and death if not treated by surgery as soon as possible. We are working with the doctors to schedule the surgery, it will most likely be next week – Thursday or Friday. Please be in prayer for Jan as she faces this. I wish it were me instead of her!
Please be in prayer today for these 3 very serious needs.

Thanks so much for the prayers for the Honduras church planting project. Here are some new prayer requests from our strategy coordinator, Randy Travis.
Oscar and Carlos
1) Pray for the group in Resumidero. O who is part of this group is going to start a new study.
2) Pray for the family of D in Azacualpa, Santa Barbara. They are a potential contact for a study but as of yet no study has been started with them.
4) Pray that G in Resumidero will make a firm decision to start studies. He talks like he wants to on the phone but so far hasn’t.
5) Pray for E in Resumidero that he will start new studies.
Adiel and Jacobo
1) J and E in Capuca that they will start new studies with family and friends.
2) J in Pangual will reproduce the studies and that he will show even more interest in the Word. He works with several groups that are already established groups in the Roman Catholic church and he wants to start discovery bible studies with these groups. He has received permission from the R.C. Coordinator to do so. Pray this door will open wide.
3) D, C, and D in Pangual. They just started bible studies. Pray they will continue.
4) For all those being mentored in all the groups.
Mario and Daniel
1) M in El Penalejos, Santa Barbara. The team hopes to start studies on the next visit with these people. Pray that they will be able to do so.
2) E in Peña Blanca, Cortez. Pray that this group will get the burden to start new studies.
3) J in the Danli area in the department of El Paraiso. Pray that studies will get started with his family on the next visit there.
4) S and family in Cartules, Danli. Pray that studies will be started with them on the very next visit there.
S.C. Keith and Juanita
S.C. Keith and Juanita are in Tegucigalpa for their appointment with the US Embassy. Monday they have to get required medical exams done. This is on a first come first service basis. They have to be down there at 6:00 a.m. on Monday morning standing in line on the road to get in. There are alot of medical exams to take. Pray that all these exams will turn out fine. Pray they will get delivered to them quickly, all the medical results they need to give the Embassy. Then on Tuesday the 6th they have to finalize some paperwork then rest some and get their wits together as they get ready for the interview. They have worked so long and hard to get all the paperwork done. On Wednesday the 7th they have to be at the US Embassy for the interview. In this interview the Embassy will decide if Juanita gets a K3 visa or a residency visa or no visa. The best option is a residency visa so pray they will give Juanita a residency visa to go to the US. This type of visa will free her up to come and go from the USA to Honduras and Mexico, at will. A K3 visa will allow her to come to the USA but she is highly restricted in her movements and can only leave the USA very few weeks per year. They really need the residency visa but will take whatever they can get. The interview is actually concerning the K3 visa but since they have also filled out the residency paperwork and sent it in there is a possibility that during the interview they may just give her that residency visa if the paperwork has been processed. They are both nervous about this interview. Pray for clarity of mind, peace, and wisdom to give all the correct answers. Pray that they will have favor with the interviewer and all involved in the process from the guards at the doorway in the Embassy to the person that issues the visa. Pray for the peace of God to flood their minds and souls. Pray that all will work out just fine and they also will get some very much needed rest the next two days and nights as they await the interview around 7:15 a.m. on September 7th wed morning. And pray for protection for them as they travel around in Tegucigalpa.

David and Patty came down to Alabama and we had a strategy meeting for the next steps we take in the Honduras project. All went very well and we thank you for your prayers for that meeting. We believe we have a solid biblical plan and that God will meet every need to see this plan accomplished for His Kingdom and glory. Continue praying that His will be done in all our activities.

The Refiner’s Fire
“‘Is not my word like fire,’ declares the LORD, ‘and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?'” (JEREMIAH 23:29)
“For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.” (DEUTERONOMY 4:24)
Scripture Focus: Malachi 3:2-3
Someone once described to me the process of refining gold. The gold is subjected to a very hot fire until it melts. This causes imbedded impurities to separate and rise to the surface. The dross can then be skimmed off, allowing the worker to see his reflection on the surface of the pure, precious metal.
God desires to prepare a people for Himself (Zechariah 13:9). But first, the Master Refiner must remove our dead hearts of stone and replace them with living hearts of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26). We need the holy fire of God’s Word to melt our stony hearts and burn away the dross of sin and impurity. Christ died to cleanse and redeem even the vilest of hearts. He alone has the power and authority to forgive sin and free the captive from its power.
Once the refining fire of God’s Word softens the heart, He then hammers and shapes it, forging something glorious for His holy use. He is preparing for Himself a spotless bride that will reflect His glory (Ephesians 5:25b-27).
Insight: Are You Yielding Yourself To The Fire And Hammer Of God’s Word So That His Glory Can Be Reflected In Your Life?

Thank you Carlos…I am grateful that this “refining” is a gift and done even when I am totally unaware…although we may at times feel the HEAT! BUT GOD…is merciful and His GRACE IS sufficient when we choose to walk in obedience to His WORD. Hebrews 4: 12…“For the WORD of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and IS a DISCERNER OF THE THOUGHTS and INTENTS OF THE HEART.” His Word is BREAD for the HUNGRY soul! 🙂
