And when the day of Pentecost (Feast of Weeks) was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues (language not known to person speaking it), as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of EVERY nation under heaven. … they were confounded, because they heard these men speak in their language…and HOW hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? (Acts 2: 1-8)
This feast was observed early in the third month on the 50th day after the offering of the barley sheaf at the Feast of Unleaven Bread, It was also known as the Feast of Harvest. The early Christian believers, who were gathered in Jerusalem for this feast, experienced the outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit in a miraculous way. I believe we are about to see an even greater outpouring of God’s Spirit over all His people in the near future; for the harvest is ripe.
Today, we see great unrest revolving around the State of Israel, but it should come as no surprise to those who read and study God’s Word. As the time of the GREAT HARVEST draws ever closer, we shall see even greater unrest not only for Israel, but for all nations of the world. BUT GOD…I like those words, for GOD is Creator of all things (people, nations, etc) and He is in control.
Most unrest in the world is due to the greed and pride of men which result in wars and tragedy. I believe God is all-seeing, all-knowing and all-powerful; that anything that is happening around us is either because He has allowed it to further His ultimate plan for mankind or, He has brought it about Himself. “That men may know thou, whose name alone is JE-HO’VAH, art the most high over all the earth” (Psalm 83: 18).
Prayer request week of 9-25-2011
Daniel and Mario
1) Pray for S in Penalejos. He is a new contact, hopefully, a new study will be started with him.
2) Pray for L and family along with A in Siguatepeque in the department of Comayagua. This will be a new department of Honduras for us. These are new contacts and pray that studies will be started with them.
3) Daniel wants prayer for himself. He says he has been making contacts. He plans new studies. Then the day he arrives to start the studies the people are not there or something else happens so that the study doesn’t take place.
Oscar and Carlos
1) Pray for K. He, along with his wife, were in a third generation study in the Buenos Aires group. He is bleeding from the mouth and needs special prayer.
2) Pray the groups in the Atima Victoria area. They are facing some discouragement. Pray they will be encouraged to continue.
3) Pray for new contacts to be made in La Concepcion in the country of Guatemala.
Adiel and Jacobo
1) In the village of C in the department of Lempira pray for J and 2 others that God will give them understanding of the Word and that they will decide to get baptized. They have been threatened that they will be removed out of the R.C. church. They now have had to resort to doing the studies secretly in their groups. They are in the third study, of stage two, but have not decided to get baptized yet because of the threats from the R.C. church. This village is very strong radical religion and it is extremely difficult to face up to being rejected by the village and kicked out of the church. This is all they have known all their lives. God has dealt with them and revealed the truth to them and they have to decide. Pray for courage and strength for them to make the right decisions.
2) In the village of E in the department of Lempira pray for J along with his wife and children that the Holy Spirit will help them decide to get baptized. They too have been threatened by the Religious leaders and are having to carrying out the DBS’s in secret. They are in study 2 of stage 2.
3) In the village of C in the department of Copan pray for E and his family that the Holy Spirit will illuminate their minds and hearts and give them the fortitude to decide to get baptized. They are in the same situation and are being threatened by the religious leaders.
S.C. Request and Comments
1) Thanks for your prayers. Randy and Linda had a safe flight to Honduras. Keith and Juanita made it safely from Mexico to Honduras and all the officials from all three countries cooperated with Keith when putting their seals in his passport and he actually went back to Honduras with some empty space left! That was definitely an answer to prayer because if they would not have cooperated they could have held him up saying he didn’t have enough space in his passport for their seals.
2) We are all in Tegucigalpa at the moment. Keith takes the final documents to the Embassy. Pray that he will have the wisdom to give the necessary documents they are looking. He got all the specific ones they asked for authenticated in Mexico. He is making final preparations in the packet and goes the Embassy today (Monday) to deliver them. Then they will advise him in 2 to 3 weeks of their decision. Actually, they could make the decision today, if they want to. That would be nice if they would do that. If they would just decide to give the visa today, and it be the residency visa, then that would save them another trip to Tegucigalpa from Santa Rosa.
3) Pray that while Keith is at the Embassy they will also add pages to his passport without delay.
4) After the business is done at the Embassy we head to another part of Honduras to plan a CPM conference with an interdenominational group of pastors. Pray we can plan all this to everyone’s satisfaction and that we will be able to nail down the specific dates to have the conference.
5) We also will be looking at some property in 2 or 3 areas of Honduras as we make initial plans for starting a more permanent CPM Equipping Center where other missions and denominations from Honduras and other Latin American countries can come to get trained in CPM principles. Pray that we will have success in finding appropriate property for this. Pray that God will lead us to the right people and right land. Also pray for a miraculous supply of finances to do this and also conduct all of this ministry in Honduras.
6) As you can see many of the DBS are getting some real threats from the R.C. church. For many they are at the crossroads of decision. Pray for courage. Pray for fortitude. Pray for wisdom. Pray for protection. I am reminded of the following scriptures:
Matt 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Luke 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
Luke 12:52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
Luke 12:53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Joh 15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
Rom 12:14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

Truly, the HARVEST is plentiful…I pray for God’s provision, protection, and power to flow through all the workers in this field of Honduras and beyond. Ephesians 2: 21, 22 are favorite Bible verses and I release God’s precious words over all these faithful laborers and over the people as yet unreached:
In Him the whole building is JOINED TOGETHER and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in Him you too are being BUILT TOGETHER to become a DWELLING in which God lives by His Spirit… in Jesus name and for the glory of our heavenly Father!
