BELIEVE (Part 4)

Faded Glory

For all flesh (mankind) is like grass, and all its glory like the flower of grass.  The grass withers and the flower drops off.  But the Word of the Lord (the Gospel) endures forever… (1 Peter 1: 24, 25).  To you who believe, He is precious… (1 Peter 2: 7, 8).

I have received a few PRAISE reports that I encourage you to read about in the last blog post (Believe; Part 3).  I so enjoy hearing what God is doing; it ALWAYS increases my faith level another notch or two when I hear answers to the specific prayers you and I have prayed.  I am going to be pasting some more in the Comment section of this post and I know you will be blessed when you read them.

When we were in Kenya in November of 2009, pastor Elias Matua and his wife Grace wanted to take us to a Masai village, but you have to be invited by the Masai.  Pastor really didn’t know exactly where they were but we kept on driving anyway.  The Lord is a Blesser and He likes to connect people, so as we were driving down another dirt road, suddenly before us was a lone Masai woman who was walking to the town we had just passed through.  Pastor got out and asked her if we could take her back to her home and she agreed.  It was an awesome experience and I was amazed (again) when God revealed how His love will bridge the gulf between cultures.  Without either party knowing the words the other is speaking, but through shared prayers, gestures, and smiles, etc. friendships and lasting memories are formed.  The woman (Sarina) and her four daughters deeply impressed us and it is my prayer that we will meet again, around the throne of God.  I thank You, Jesus, for eternal life! 🙂  Click on the video below to hear Sarina’s daughters sing http://youtu.be/rR3ucsEafAk.  Please pray for the Masai and for pastor Elias and Grace in Chuka, Kenya.

Subject: Thank You For Your Prayrers

    Dear Sister Judy,
I realized I missed on Brother Larry’s mail and it accidentally hit a wrong button. Dr. Larry is one of our dear Brothers in the Lord and a friend and a prayer partner of KCWE who we helped file their corporation papers here. Their ministry and ours work in close tandem here!
However this is a quick note to all of you who prayed for my healing. I woke up this morning able to hold my head up and get this note to you.
On Friday evening last week I started feeling dizzy and somewhat nauseated. I thought this could be due overwork after the conference (I had to work again 6 hours a night on our cleaning job). I took a rest and on Saturday realizing that I started developing high fever I decided to check myself in at our University hospital here where they did tests and confirmed sporadic malarial parasites. I was given prescriptions as an outpatient which my body did not respond to. On Monday I was extremely weak and my wife did take me back to the hospital where I was booked in for the whole night and further tests revealed a cute typhoid infection. I became violently ill and had uncontrollable diarrhea and vomiting. My fever shot up to 104 degrees. The pain in my body was so excruciating. I was put on morphine and CAF drips, and I have a high tolerance for pain. Further blood tests showed mild kidney and liver malfunction. I feel stronger this morning. Though still a little weak but I attribute my healing this morning to your prayers.
    God bless you all
    Simon

    • “We give You, glory and praise Father, for what You have already done and for what You are continuing to do in Simon’s body and in the ministry You have called him to. We come together in agreement for COMPLETION of the healing to a place where every organ system in Simon’s body is under Your dominion and perfect order, in Jesus name. Lord, we ask for divine provision for every personal and ministry need. You have said that Your children will never have to beg for bread (Psalm 37: 25) and we agree for abundant bread for this man of God. We thank You, Lord and we will be sure to give You all the glory. Amen.”

  2. Abide

    Prophetic word
    By Dorota Kunstler
    Repost: November 1-2011

Abide in My presence. Stay under My cloud and soak in My Glory. For
My presence is the place where I’m anointing you; it is a hiding place
under My wings, in the arms of your Lord and God.

Stop, don’t rush anymore. Stop and look up. Look at Me and look into My
face. I see you all the time, I am always near. So stay in My presence
    and remain under My cloud.

Didn’t I say to seek first the Kingdom of God , and all the other things
shall be added onto you? Believe what I said, and trust Me to take care
of these things for you. Don’t rush off to attend to the cares of the
day. Instead, stay in My presence and have confidence in who I am. For
in My presence, you will receive, and then you can go forth in faith
    and in My anointing.

Do not rush. Sit down like Mary and listen to Me. Look at My face and
enjoy being with Me. Tell Me that you love Me Do not rush off to seek
human wisdom, but come to Me, My Beloved. Come and wait upon Me. I
want to sup with you, I want to be with you, I want to share My heart
with you and I want you to know that I love you.

Come to Me. I am here to teach you, to lead you, to empower you, and to
give you direction. I will give you strength and healing. So come and
    breathe in My love.

I want you to become a ‘donor of life’ for those who are walking dead.
So come, stay in My presence and inhale My life. Take My Word and eat–
eat, eat, eat. My Beloved, first you need to be strong, and then you
can feed My sheep. Please do feed them…do it for Me, because I love
    them.

I set a table in the midst of your enemies; do not be afraid in the
time of turmoil. Trust Me, for I take care of My sheep. I am a good
Shepherd. I am your Jehova-Roshi. I am the One who laid life for you.

Trust Me and abide in My presence.

  3. Here are some new requests concerning our Honduras Missionary team.

    1. Randy and Linda Travis are traveling today and tommorrow (the 4th and 5th). Driving a good distance in Honduras today and flying home to the US tommorrow. Please pray for traveling mercies.

    2. Their daughter in law and son, Juanita and Keith Travis, are in Tegucigalpa at the embassy trying to get a long delayed visa. This is a situation that has dragged on for years! They were told last Monday that it was approved and traveled to the embassy only to face 1 delay for a breakthrough on this and that she gets the visa on Monday. This is very important to them.

    Thanks very much,
    David Parish

    • “Lord, let all who take refuge in You be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread Your protection over them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You. For surely, O LORD, You bless the righteous; You surround them with Your favor as with a shield” (Psalm 5: 11, 12). We remind You Lord, of Your promise with Your words and we declare their fulfillment over Randy and Linda as they travel and over Your servants Juanita and Keith, in Jesus name. We give You all the glory and praise. Amen.

  4. Judy, I love the personalized story of the Massai and your encounter with them. The U-Tube video was delightful. Thanks for inspiring me this morning. God used you post to touch and refresh my heart. Ras

    • Ras, I pray Psalm 5: 11, 12 over you and Bev individually, as a couple, and over your ministry.

I would also declare Jude 24 over all areas of your life, in Jesus name: “To Him who IS ABLE to keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious Presence without fault and with great joy- to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, befor eall ages, NOW and forevermore! Amen.”

  5. By the grace of God who is your Father and my Father too, He made me to know a couple from USA by their names Graham Smith and Judy Smith. This couple visited us in Kenya and right now we are great friends by the will of God.
Since that time we knew one another we have never regretted ours is only rejoicing and thanks giving unto the Lord.

Sister Judy has a great zeal to serve the Lord and has a broken spirit.
I wish she lives in my town Chuka ,she could be a leader in lady’s fellowship.
May God of mercies in Christ Jesus bless her and her seeds.Amen.

    Pastor Elias Mutua,
    Chuka, Kenya.

    • Dear Elias and Grace. You are indeed my brother and sister and I give thanks to God for connecting our lives. We think of you and the family in Chuka so often and I pray daily blessing over your lives and ministry.

Pastor, Psalm 16: 7-11 comes to my mind when I think of you. You wait upon the Lord for counsel, you have set the Lord before you and you trust in Him as your Source. You are joyful, you are at peace, and in all things you give daily thanks to the Lord! You are a man of God and He sings over your life :). God bless you and keep you going ever forward with hope and great rejoicing!

    • My spirit could pick that in Judy’s letters. I believe she has a fantastic ministry in her coupled with meekness and humility. She has such a wonderful compassion too
      Ministers Jane MacOnyango

      • Blessings Jane and welcome to the blog post world. Your prayers will be a blessing to all the readers. 🙂

  6. Thank you for your word Carlos! Your devotional takes me to 2 Corinthians 3: 17, 18 “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”

What great joy this passgae brings to all who BELIEVE; it is nothing we accomplish in and of ourselves, but it is the Spirit of the Lord who changes us through everything and everyone we come in contact with in our journey here. I pray abundant blessing over you, your family, and ministry!

    The Big Picture
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5).
    Scripture Focus: John 15:1-8

The main difference between education and discipleship is perspective. In education, we start with the pieces and assemble the big picture. In discipleship, we start with the big picture and then apply it to the parts.

For example, children start with arithmetic. We wouldn’t expect them to study physics first. They must understand the pieces of the universe before they can see the big picture. But in discipleship we start with a big concept like this: Our Redeemer Jesus is the source of everything we need. Then we learn how that bathes each part of our lives.

Discipleship (being students of the Word) develops habits which we can use when problems arise. Instead of starting with the parts of the problem and trying to sort them out, our habit should be to start with the big picture. As Jesus put it, “I am the vine; you are the branches.” No one tries to grow grapes by assembling the fruit first. We know that grapes come out of a healthy vine. Start with His perspective and then approach the details.

Insight: Jesus is the source of everything we need. Our nourishment and growth come out of His vibrant love for us.

  7. I had a man (JF) who wrote in response to this post and told me emphatically he was NOT a Christian and that he did NOT believe anything the apostles spoke of, especially Paul. He had some choice words to describe the Gospel.

I found it interesting that I did not know him, nor do I know how I got his email address. So, trusting God in all things and KNOWING that NOTHING is a coincidence with God…I am going to ask you all to join me in PRAYING for his salvation; for God to draw him in and for Holy Spirit to bring conviction upon him of his NEED FOR JESUS as LORD over all areas of his life. If you would like to pray 2 Corinthians 4: 3-6 over this man and anything else the Lord places into your spirit it would be great and we will BELIEVE together that he will be our brother in Christ, VERY SOON, in Jesus name! 🙂

  8. I have seen the Lord doing marvelous and great things when we trust His leading into the uknown
    Bishop Simon

    • God’s word promises that “He who believes on Me, the works that I do, he shall do also; and GREATER works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father…” (John 14: 14). Believing on Christ gives us access to our heavenly Father, Who does the works. The works will be more in number because Christ’s works were confined to greater Israel, while the works of Believers cover the entirety of the world. The Spirit of God indwells all Believers; we are called to worship God (a Spirit) in Spirit and in Truth (John 4: 24).
