COVENANT

I WILL REMEMBER

And God said,  This is the token of the covenant which I make between you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations; I do set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between Me and the earth.

And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the EVERLASTING COVENANT between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.  And God said unto Noah,  This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between Me and all flesh that is upon the earth. (Genesis 9: 12-17)

Many of you have read previous messages I have written regarding God’s blessing my husband and I with rainbows wherever and whenever we travel.  On our recent trip, there was a rainbow in the sky every single day of the trip (7 days )!  His rainbow brings a smile to our hearts because we see it as God’s confirmation that His Presence and protection surrounds us.

Over the next couple messages I hope to discuss Noah and the flood in relation to God’s ETERNAL covenant with mankind.  I am presently doing a word study of key words in Genesis 7: 24 – Genesis 9: 22 and as always, I am awed by God’s amazing and eternal love for us.

In today’s passage of Scripture, the word “flesh” pops out.  In Hebrew (1320) it is basar ‘ from 1319 and it means:  (from its freshness); by extens. body, person; also (by euphem.) the pudenda of a man–body, (fat, lean) flesh(ed), kin, (man) kind+ nakedness, self, skin .

*** (Hb. 1319):  a prim. root;  prop. to be fresh, i.e. FULL (rosy, cheerful), to ANNOUNCE (glad news), messenger, preach, publish, shew forth (bear, bring, carry, preach, good, tell good) tidings!  It seems to me that it is what I am doing right now…publishing and bringing the Good Tidings (God’s Word) to each of you!  🙂

God is faithful; He never leaves nor forsakes His own… and He has given the rainbow as one of His manifested reminders.

However, when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.  And because ye are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba Father, wherfore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ (Galatians 4: 4-7).  God has shown us the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.  For it is by grace we are saved through FAITH; and that not of ourselves; it is the gift of God!  ALL the promises of God in Him are “Yes” and in Him “Amen,” unto the glory of God by us!

“Lord, I want to do my part in our covenant relationship; I desire to have faith that prays persistently, chooses righteousness, encourages fellow believers, helps Your kingdom, and follows You faithfully.  Help me and all my brothers and sisters (in You) find strength for today and hope for tomorrow as we sail into the future You have prepared for each of us.  Thank You for Your faithfulness, Father.”

    More & Forever

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill,
and to destroy: I am come that they might have
life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Judy, my daughter-in-laws mother sent me this. Maybe you could use it sometime to give to others. It is a positive message.

    Subject: Confessing God’s words

    Dear friends:

The below stresses the importance of the words we speak. It is taken from an article given to me and I am not sure of its origin, but this is a slight modification, taken from page 128 of my book, THE POWER! (Xulon Press, 2003).
    ____________________________________________

God framed His world by His words. (Hebrews 11:3)
I am created in His image. (Genesis 1:16)
By the dominion He has given me, (Genesis 1:28)
I frame my world by my words. (Proverbs 18:21, Mark 11:23)

I am the prophet of my own life.
My words, in my life, determine
my well-being, my provision, my health,
my future, and my place in eternity. (Proverbs 23:7, Luke 6:45, Romans 10:9)

My faith-filled words are alive and full of power.
Jesus is the High Priest of my confession. (Hebrews 3:1)

My words are the voice of Jesus in the earth.
Jesus is my voice in heaven. (Hebrews 7:25)

All things are under His feet.
    I am in Him,
Therefore, all things are under my feet. (Hebrews 4:14, Ephesians 1:22-23)

    My faith-filled words dominate
the laws of sin and death. (Romans 8:2)
Satan is always defeated in my life
By the blood of the Lamb and my words. (Revelation 12:11)

I am what the Word says I am,
I can do what the Word says I can do,
I can have what the Word says I can have.

I’m not moved by what I see.
I’m not moved by what I feel.
I’m moved only by what God’s Word says about me.
I am the dwelling place of God’s Spirit.
He lives in me. (1 Corinthians 3:16)

I am the righteousness of God in Christ.
He gave it to me. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

From the abundance of my Word-filled heart,
my Word-filled mouth speaks. (Luke 6:45)

I am filled with the Holy Spirit of the Creator.
I have His love, His joy, His peace,
    His power and His Purpose.

Today is not a sick day, (3 John 2)
Not a sad day, (Isaiah 61:3)
    Not a fearful day. (2 Timothy 1:7, 1 John 4:18)
But every day is a joyful, victorious,
    Spirit-filled, Word-filled, Jesus-exalting day!

Now that s a good confession. May those words and the blessings be yours — today and forever!

  3. God’s Word for you this day 01-06-12…

I AM ABLE to do far beyond all that you ask or imagine. Come to Me with positive expectations, knowing there is NO LIMIT to what I can accomplish. Ask My Spirit to control your mind, so that you can think great thoughts of Me. Do not be discouraged that there are still prayers unanswered. TIME is a trainer, teaching you to WAIT upon Me, to TRUST Me in the dark. Instead of letting difficulties draw you into worrying; view them as setting the stage for MY Glorious intervention! Keep your mind and eyes open to all that I am doing in your life.
    (Romans 8: 6; Is. 40: 30-31; Rev. 5: 13)
