LISTEN CAREFULLY

This morning I was reading Psalm 78 and I felt such a strong move in my spirit to write it out as a reminder and a caution to the body of Christ and to anyone who has EARS TO HEAR what the Holy Spirit is saying to us RIGHT NOW.  Olive is being carried by her Dad and she admonishes parents everywhere to NOT HIDE GOD’S TRUTH from her generation for she KNOWS she is part of the “Joseph generation” that will have incredible FAITH to BELIEVE God for all things in the coming days.

“Oh my people, hear My teaching; listen to the words of My mouth.  I will open My mouth in parables, I will utter things from of old—what we have HEARD and KNOWN, what our fathers have told us.  We will not hide them from their children; we WILL TELL the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, His power and the wonders He has done.   He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the Law in Israel, which He commanded our forefathers to teach their children, so the next generations would know them, EVEN THE CHILDREN YET TO BE BORN, and they in turn would tell their children.  Then they would put their TRUST in God and would not forget His deeds but would KEEP His commands.  They would not be like their forefathers–a stubborn and rebellious generation, whose hearts were (are) not loyal to God, whose spirits were (are) not faithful to Him.

The men of Ephraim, though armed with bows, TURNED BACK on the day of battle; they did not keep God’s covenant and refused to live by His law.  They FORGOT what He had done, the wonders He had shown them.  He did miracles in the sight of their fathers in the land of Egypt, in the region of Zoan, He divided the sea and led them through; He made the water stand firm like a wall.  He guided them with the cloud by day and with light from the fire all night.  He split the rocks int he desert and gave them water as abundant as the seas; He brought streams out of a rocky crag and made water flow down like rivers. 

BUT they continued to sin against Him, rebelling in the desert against the Most High.  They WILLFULLY put God to the test by demanding the food they craved.  They SPOKE AGAINST God, saying, “Can God spread a table in the desert?  When He struck the rock, water gushed out,a nd streams flowed abundantly.  BUT CAN HE also give us food?  CAN HE supply meat for His people?”  When the LORD heard them (US), He was very angry; His fire broke out against Jacob, and His wrath rose against Israel (the nations today),  for they did NOT BELIEVE IN GOD or TRUST IN HIS DELIVERANCE.  In spite of all this, they kept on sinning; in spite of His wonders, THEY DID NOT BELIEVE.  So He ended their days in futility and their years in terror. 

Whenever God slew them, they would seek Him; they eagerly turned to Him again.  They remembered that God was their Rock, that God Most High was their Redeemer.  BUT then they would flatter Him with their mouths, lying to Him with their tongues; their hearts were NOT loyal to Him, they were NOT faithful to His covenant. YET He was MERCIFUL; He forgave their iniquities and did not destroy them.  Time after time He RESTRAINED His anger and did not stir up His full wrath.  He remembered that they were but flesh, a passing breeze that does not return.  …  BUT they put God to the test and rebelled against the Most High; and did not keep His statutes.  Like their fathers they were disloyal and faithless, as unreliable as a faulty bow.  They angered Him with their high places, they aroused His jealousy with thier idols. 

When God heard them, He was very angry; He rejected Israel completely.  He abandoned the tabernacle at Shiloh, the tent He had set up among men.  He sent the ark of His might into captivity, His splendor into the hands of the enemy.  He gave His people over to the sword; He was very angry with His inheritance.  Fire consumed their young men, and their maidens had no wedding songs; for their priests were put to the sword, and their widows could not weep.

Then the Lord awoke from sleep, as a man wakes from the stupor of wine.  He beat back His enemies; He put them into everlasting shame…He rejected the tents of Joseph, He did not choose the tribe of Ephraim; but He chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion, which He loved.  He built His sanctuary like the heights, like the earth that He established forever.  He chose David His servant and took him from the sheep pens; from tending the sheep He brought him to be the shepherd of His people Jacob, of Israel His inheritance.  And David shepherded them with INTEGRITY OF HEART; with skillful hands he led them.” 

Amen and amen.   Let us be as David and not doubt or test the Lord; WE TRULY NEED HIM ALONE…HE IS OUR ONLY HOPE.    

STOP and LOOK UP

But as for me, I will look to the Lord and confident in Him I will keep watch; I will wait with hope and expectancy for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.  Rejoice not against me, O my enemy!  When I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be alight to me.  (Micah 7: 7, 8)

A brother in Christ faithfully sends me a word each day.  It may be a verse from the Bible, a poem, or a prophetic word someone has posted that he feels will speak to me.  He is often right on target with where I am in my life or in my Bible study for that particular day.  I smile with joy as I realize it is Holy Spirit, who lives within both of us (and all who know Jesus as their Lord and Savior), that uses him and other brothers and sisters to increase my love for God; a God who loves me and is concerned about even the little things in my life.  I give Him praise and glory!  A couple of days ago he sent me a prophetic word that is in line with what I have been reading in God’s Word and also what I have been feeling very strongly in my spirit for the past few weeks.  I feel it is Holy Spirit who nudges me to now share it with you.  It is a timely word and it speaks to the season of time we are living in RIGHT NOW.  I believe very strongly that Jesus is getting to His feet; ready for the Father’s command to come for His Bride (the Church).  It is my heart that all people in all nations will come to KNOW Jesus, the Son of God as their personal and ALIVE Savior before this very hour is over.  Time is so short…hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying and revealing to us this HOUR.

EARLY IN THE MORNING

For the past two weeks I have been getting up very early to study God’s Word and to pray.  I believe Holy Spirit has been revealing through the passages of scripture an urgent and NOW message for His “bride”, the Church.   Each and every morning the phrase “in the early morning” has shown up in at least one verse to the degree that I am now looking for it and I have been asking Him, “Why Lord?  Is this for me or is it to be shared?”

God’s Word is for everyone so I am going to share what He has already spoken and His words are ETERNAL; they are the same and hold the same meaning as they did from creation right up to this moment in time. I have chosen some passages and some meanings to help bring this word to you from both the Old (Hebrew origin) and New Testament (Greek origin) that I hope will give you an idea of what I believe the Lord is pointing out to us right NOW.

” Awake, my glory (my inner self); awake, harp and lyre!  I will awake right early (I will awaken the dawn)!  I will praise and give thanks to You, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations.  For Your mercy and loving-kindness are great, reaching to the heavens, and Your truth and faithfulness to the clouds.  Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let Your glory be over all the earth (Psalm 57: 8-11; repeated in 108: 1-5). 

Oh satisfy us with Your mercy and loving-kindness in the morning (NOW before we are older), that we may rejoice and be glad all our days… Let Your work (the signs of Your power) be revealed to Your servants, and Your (glorious) majesty to their children …yes, the work of our hands, confirm and establish it (Psalm 91: 14-17). 

The person who has My commands and keeps them is one who (really) loves Me; and whoever (really) loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I (too) will love him and will show (reveal, manifest) Myself to him.  (I will let Myself be clearly seen by him and make Myself real to him.)  (John 14: 21).

The Hebrew meanings of  “early” :  to incline (the shoulder to a burden); between the shoulders (as place of burdens); to start early in the morning (arise, be up, get (oneself) up.  The Greek meanings are:   Keep awake, be vigilant, watch; resurgence from death (resurrection). 

Mark 13: 33-37  tells me what I believe He is saying to His people this VERY HOUR:  “Be on your guard (constantly alert), and watch, and pray; for you do not know when the time will come.  It is like a man (already) going on a journey; when he leaves home, he puts his servants in charge (that’s you and me), each with his own particular task, and he gives orders to the doorkeeper to be constantly alert and on the watch.  Therefore watch (give strict attention, be cautious and alert), for you do not know when the Master of the house is coming–in the evening, or at midnight, or at cockcrowing (dawn), or in the morning — (Watch, I say) lest He come suddenly and unexpectedly and find you ASLEEP.  And what I say to you I say to everybody:  Watch!”

The Greek meaning of “watch”:  sleepless/ness (keep awake), spiritual stupor (inferior position/ condition); guarding (the place/condition); preserve, obey (keep self), grow, produce, spring up.

What do I personally feel in my spirit; what is He saying to me:  I believe with all my heart that He is telling me that He is very close to returning for His Bride.  He is calling His sons and His daughters to prepare themselves; to be seeking Him and hearing what He is saying to each one of us and to the “body” as a whole.  He is warning us to “STAY ALERT; to seek Him early with ears that will hear what He is planning.  That we are not to lose what He has already given to us; that we are to preserve it as well as glean more from His Truth.  He is saying:  “Many of you have become drowsy and complacent; some of you have even fallen asleep.  I am telling you, I AM STANDING AT THE DOOR and I WILL NOT TARRY: GET READY, the morning is here!”

WONDERMENT

Show the wonder of your great love, You who save by Your right hand those who take refuge in You from their foes.  You are the God who does wonders; You have demonstrated Your power among the people.  (Psalm 17: 7; 77: 14)

What difference does Holy Spirit make in us and in the world of His people?  Jesus commanded His disciples that when He was gone; they were to do nothing until they had received power from on high through the promised Holy Spirit.  This was something they had not experienced before, it was something new.  Holy Spirit was to bring them into a “relationship” with God and He was going to indwell them.

How can this be?  Holy Spirit is not matter.  He has no weight and He has no dimension; He is everywhere, He is time and space, and He has power to penetrate matter.  When you are reborn through acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord, you receive His Spirit as a guarantee that your new birth is real.  Holy Spirit comes to indwell you; you are different. 

The Spirit of God came upon each disciple and penetrated into their skull and got into their brain.  He went right through their clothing and penetrated their bones, went through their blood stream and into their organs and cells; AND IT DID NOT HURT THEM AT ALL!  Holy Spirit got right into them/us.  Holy Spirit can penetrate where man can never go and that is something to marvel at!  Praise the Lord!  That’s why when Jesus comes into your heart– there’s some (body)  Who IS LIVING within you!  He will see through you, talk through you and will feel through you.  He can make you see what He wants you to see, think what He wants you to think, and say what He wants you to say.  You can LOOK at a person BEFORE and AFTER their conversion and you WILL SEE a whole CHANGE IN COUNTENANCE for Holy Spirit SHINES through them (see 2 Corinthians 3: 13-17).

Holy Spirit mothers us and hovers over us.  He wants to take care of everything for us and I want to tell you all, He has taken very good care of me.   🙂  There may come a time in each of our lives where we decide we want to take care of ourselves; we feel we can manage without Him.  When we do that, it grieves Him much like it grieves a parent when a child tells you, “I can do this on my own; I don’t need your help.”  I’ve made up my mind that until my heart quits beating, I will not grieve Holy Spirit.

There are churches today all over the world who used to depend on Holy Spirit for everything.  However; pastors, leaders, and the body are now saying, “We can take it from here.”  Holy Spirit has been bound and gagged and is tied up and made to sit over in the corner, yet we’re pressing ahead like He’s still with us!  BUT EVERYONE KNOWS HE IS NOT; everyone knows there is something very wrong.   Holy Spirit is grieved because He loves the church.  It is time for the church (you, me) to move out of the driver’s seat and let Holy Spirit take control.  There is NOT one person anywhere who even remotely comes close to being like Him.  When we REPENT and allow Him FREEDOM; THEN we will once again see HIM come and do great and mighty things!

Holy Spirit gives off a brilliant consciousness/awareness of His Presence.  We can sense Him near us for He allows us to feel Him.  He is watching to see how everybody and the man behind the pulpit is going to react.  There is a shift in the atmosphere.  It’s like a veil or curtain comes up and all of a sudden something changes in an individual or in the audience.  It is an awesome, wonderful thing and I love Him so.

Today the average church has LOST its sense of wonder.  We have lost our sense of awe that there is another world out there and that world is trying to invade our world.  It is the world of Holy Spirit (the supernatural world); it is a world filled with wonder (wonderment) and in this world we worship Jesus (whose name is Wonderful) (see John 4: 23, 24).  Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Wonder.  I don’t know about you; but I want every single thing that Holy Spirit is willing to give and  I want to daily experience the WONDER of Who He Is!  Hallelujah!

Joy In The Morning

In the recent weeks we have seen much political and social unrest throughout many nations in the world.  We have read many opinions and have  listened to personal agendas as well.  Many aspire to get to the “top position” in government and they will claw their way up and over whoever they must and by whatever means are necessary to get there.  Some use covert methods; others use “hidden ways” to undermine or remove the opponents.   I am thankful that I KNOW GOD and I have faith and trust in His ability to raise up these leaders as well as bring them down when God’s plans and purposes for that person are completed.  No matter what nation you live in; you must realize that THIS IS THE “NOW TIME” TO FAST and  PRAY for every person who is in authority over you (1 Timothy 2: 1-3; 1 Peter 2: 13-24); with a voice (prayers) that reaches the ears of our heavenly Father.

Isaiah 58: 4-14  tells us, “(The facts are that) you fast only for strife and debate and to smite with the fist of wickedness.  Fasting as you do today will not cause your voice to be heard on high.  Is such a fast as yours what I have chosen, a day for a man to humble himself with sorrow in his soul? (Is true fasting merely mechanical?)  Is it only to bow down his head like a bulrush and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him (to indicate a condition of heart that he does not have)?  Will you call this a fast and an acceptable  day to the Lord?

(Rather) is not this the fast that I have chosen:  To loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every (enslaving) yoke?  Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house–when you see the naked, that you cover him, and that you hide not yourself from (the needs of) your own flesh andd blood? 

Then shall your light break forth like the morning, and your healing (your restoration and the power of a new life) shall spring forth speedily; your righteousness (your rightness, your justice, and your relationship with God) shall go before you (conducting you to peace and prosperity), and the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard (see Genesis 32: 24-26).  Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, Here I am.  If you take away from your midst yokes of oppression (wherever you find them), the finger pointed in scorn (toward the oppressed or the godly), and every form of false, harsh , unjust, and wicked speaking, and if you pour out that with which you sustain your own life for the hungry and satisfy the need of the afflicted, THEN SHALL YOUR LIGHT RISE in darkness, and your obscurity and gloom become LIKE THE NOONDAY.

And the Lord shall guide you continually and satisfy you in DROUGHT and DRY places and make strong your bones.  And you shall be like a WATERED GARDEN and like a spring whose waters fail not.  And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations (of buildings that have laid waste) for many generations; and you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.  If you turn away your foot from (traveling unduly on ) the Sabbath, from doing your own pleasure on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a (spiritual) delight, the holy day of the Lord, honorable, and honor Him and it, not going your own way or seeking or finding your own pleasure or speaking with your own (idle) words, THEN will you delight yourself in the Lord, and I WILL make you to ride on the high places of  the earth, and will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father; for THE MOUTH OF THE LORD HAS SPOKEN IT.

Magnify the Lord

But understand this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble (hard to deal with and hard to bear).  For the people will be lovers of self and (utterly) self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate (greedy) desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters.  They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane.  (They will be) wihtout natural (human) affection (callous), relentless (admitting no truce or appeasement); (they will be) slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in  morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good.  (They will be) treacherous (betrayers), rash, (and) inflated with self-conceit.  (They will be) lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God.  (2 Timothy 3: 1-4… see Colossians 3). 

Over the past several days I have read some of the many ‘articles of opinion’ regarding world governments and the conditions in the nations of the world and I have felt a deep saddness in my spirit. I have read the disquiet in the words and recognize that fear is being sown in the hearts of the people around the world.  It is a global epidemic and it is infecting many. Throughout God’s Word the Lord tells us over and over not to fear; for He knows that chaos is birthed and fed by fear especially when people let fear consume them.  In Matthew 10: 28 He says, “And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; but rather be afraid of Him Who can destroy both soul and body in hell (Gehenna).”  God is a God of love, yet His very nature is justice and righteousness. He calls all His sons/daughters into obedience of His will (Acts 5: 29; Philippians 2: 8; Hebrews 5: 8; 1 Peter 1: 14, 22; 1 John 3: 6).

It is in the stillness of the early morning that God often brings Peace to my spirit and He speaks into my heart.  I am so in love with Jesus and I am so thankful that I am in Him and more importantly, that He indwells me.   Yesterday as I walked I felt His Presence so strongly and as I thought about the world situation I felt a surge of joy spring up within me and with it this thought came… “This is why My people HAVE to focus ONLY on My TRUTH and keep believing what I have spoken in My Word.  For My Word alone STANDS in the tests of time:  in wars, in disasters, in elections, in the economy, in EVERYTHING.  When everything else around you seems to be falling apart, My Word will never fail.  It is IN ME ALONE that you have security and will stay strong, that you will walk and sleep  in peace no matter what is happening around you.  Live, breathe, and speak only My Word over all situations for My Word shall not return to Me void, but it accomplishes that which I please and purpose and it prospers in the thing for which I sent it.”   As I continued my walk it was as if the Lord purposed that I should see His touch in the nature about me.  I saw flowers blooming in among vegetation that was dying due to heat and lack of rain, in among thorns, hidden under weeds and I rejoiced because it gave me revelation of the world.  God’s Presence is everywhere; He has His people positioned on their knees in every nation of the world…in among the thorns, weeds, and darkness.  His love and the beauty of His holiness stands out (is magnified over the darkness of these days)!  Hallelujah!  🙂

FRUIT

Luke 18: 8 asks each of us an important question :  “…When the Son of Man comes, will He find (persistence in ) faith on the earth?” 

 Jesus never answered that question; He just asked and it is left for each of us to ponder.  Suppose Jesus returned today:  Will He still find faith in your heart? 

The final question in this mini series is; will I be made whole?  Look at John 5: 6.  Jesus directs His question to a man  who is afflicted by the spirit of infirmity.  He asked the man, “…Wilt thou be made whole?”  Will you be made whole?  If you say yes, I would like the Lord to make me whole, do you KNOW that He can do it this very moment?  If, however you are  satisfied with where you are spiritually, emotionally, or physically, you will never progress. When you know that God is calling you to climb higher, then you will dedicate yourself in achieving that position.  You will be more committed and you will increase your time in worship, Bible study, prayer time, and in witnessing to others God’s amazing grace and love.  The Lord will help you in Jesus name.  God is interested in all areas of our “total” life even to the smallest detail.  He is also interested in seeing how well we are doing and He monitors our progress regularly.  

The fruit of the Holy Spirit (the work which His Presence within accomplishes) is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5: 22).  People recognize us by the quality of FRUIT that is evident in our daily life.  Is your life bearing positive fruits that attract people to the Lord, or fruits that will throw people down to the bottom of hell fire? 

A thousand years in God’s sight is like a passing night.  He has His own arithmetic.  How do you weigh in His balance?  How are you on His spiritual scale right now?  Are you a thermostat Christian or a thermometer Christian?  A thermometer Christian is the type that the environment determines his temperature.  A thermostat Christian will make the environment conform to him and he will not be moved by what is happening around him.  What adjustment has God been asking you to make in your life? 

Rise up today and do what the Lord wants you to do.  Examine and test and evaluate your own selves to see whether you are holding to your faith and showing the proper fruits of it.  Test and prove yourselves (not Christ).  Do you not yourselves realize and know (thoroughly by an ever-increasing experience) that Jesus Christ is in you–unless you are (counterfeits) disapproved on trial and rejected  (2 Corinthians 13: 5).  It is far better to know you are NOT disapproved, on trial, and rejected, in Jesus name.

 And He caught the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village; and when He had spit on his eyes and put His hands upon him, He asked him:  Do you possibly see anything?  And he looked up and said, I see people, but (they look) like trees, walking.  Then He put His hands on his eyes again; and the man looked intently (fixed his eyes on definate objects), and he was restored and saw everything distinctly (even what was at a distance)  (Mark 8: 23-25).   

The Lord called Jeremiah (1: 4-14) and then asked him a question that He is asking each of us today:  “What do you see?”   Do you have what may be called “spiritual cataracts”; the inability to see what God has called you to do.  If you have made up your mind on what you want to do, before you come to the Lord and ask Him to “show me the way” you can be rest assured you will not see anything.   

Beloved, God never calls a meeting for entertainment.  There are lots of entertainment churuches around for those who want to be entertained.  Even if the whole world is aimless and purposeless, God has a purpose for everything.  God believes in man so much that He invested His Son into it.  And by so doing, He expects returns from man.  Have you seen the personal vision God has for you? Do you know your purpose in life? 

If you don’t know the vision of God for your life, then you will not be able to plan.  God does not experiment.  He knows what He is doing.  The earlier you find out what He wants you to do and begin to do it, the better.  God is called the Alpha and the Omega because before He starts a thing, He has completed it.  God never starts a thing without finishing it.  God was determined that Jesus was to be born and that He would die to redeem man.  All these were clear in His mind before He started to look for Mary who would deliver the child.  Why did God conceive you?  Close your eyes and pray to the Lord, “Open my eyes to Your purpose for my life, in the name of Jesus.”  

Those without vision are ones who see men looking like trees.  They critize others concerning sins which they themselves commit.  They do not know whether what they are hearing is from God or the devil.  There are many of them in the churches agitating for church posts.  For those who do KNOW what they have seen, all discouragement and failures on the way become nothing but fertilizers for the sown seeds of vision to grow and break forth into kingdom harvest.   Have you seen what God has shown you?

Looking Within

Does not God see my ways and count my steps?  If I have walked with falsehood or vanity, or if my foot has hastened to deceit– Oh, let me be weighed in a just balance and let Him weigh me, that God may know my integrity  (Job 31: 4-6).  And the Lord God called unto Adam and said unto him, “Where art thou?”  And he said, “I heard Thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked:  and I hid myself” (Genesis 3: 9, 10).

Where are you?  What an interesting question.  When God asks you where you are, He is asking where is your spiritual location in Him.  How do you measure/weigh in His balance?  Whatever you are doing, whether good or bad is being weighed on God’s scales.  Many people will find their weight is equal to zero. 

It is important to remember that when you are not where you should be, you become an easy target for the enemy.  Perhaps the Lord has searched for you among  the divine dreamers, visionaries, prophets, etc. and your name was not in any of these places.  Then suddenly the devil shouts, “God, I have his/her name in my evil records.”  So, do you hear God’s voice asking you today, “Where are you?” 

Adam had left the place where God had called him to be.  Because Adam was in the wrong place, God changed His original intention for him.   You need to know dear friend that when you depart fromthe path of God for your life, a 40-day journey will take you 40 years!  Many people have never found out what God has planned for their life.  Some have discovered God’s plans but they have abandoned the plans after listening to people of the world. 

I do hope you know that money, education, or material possessions are NOT signs that you are enjoying God’s blessing.  The signs of His blessing are ONLY SEEN when you are at the center of  His will.  Are you at the center of God’s will, or are you like David who stayed at home while his men were fighting; or, like Peter who was warming himself at the enemy’s campfire?  When you are in the wrong place you CANNOT receive God’s blessings.  All that you will get are crumbs here and there. 

When you are not in fellowship with the Lord; you are a target for the enemy and your vision has disappeared because your heart has grown cold (Proverbs 29: 18;  Hebrews 3: 7-14;  Revelation 3: 14-18).  We have large numbers of spiritually deaf and dumb people in many churches today:  they do not hear from the Lord, neither do they have any vision.

Where are you?  Belshazzar eventually knew where he was.  God told him that He had finished the arithmetic and had weighed him in the balances and found him wanting (Daniel 3).  Close your eyes and talk to the Lord about yourself  this way:  “Lord, I come to You in Jesus name and ask You to set my life on fire for You.  Bury all my lukewarmness, in Jesus name, amen.”

Prayer for Salvation & Healing

For all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives.  But God shows and clearly proves His love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ ( the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.   If you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe that God raised Him from the dead , you will be saved.  For with the heart a person believes and so is justified (declared righteous) and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms salvation.  For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved  (Romans 3: 23; 5: 8; 10: 9, 10, 13).  Therefore if any person is in Christ he is a new creation; the old (previous moral and spiritual condition) has passed away.  Behold, the fresh and new has come (2 Corinthians 5: 17)!

So, what happens when I die?  The Bible answers this question.  It paints the picture of two places and the contrast between them is frightening.  The world we presently live in is satan’s world.  The kingdom of God will overcome this one.  Jesus says clearly that when men die, they will go to one of two places; heaven or hell.  The Bible’s graphic description of these places makes the contrast very clear.  It is given to man to die only once and after that comes judgment.  It is better for a person not to be born at all than for him to end up in the fires of hell.  The Bible makes us realize that when the rich man died, he found himself in hell’s fires, while Lazurus, who also died, found himself in the bosom of Abraham (Luke 16: 19-31).  

Take a few moments to consider where you stand in your relationship with Christ.  Are you saved/ re-born?  Have you accepted Jesus Christ as Lord over ALL your life?  Are you living your life according to His Word?    Talk to the Lord in a prayer like this:  “Lord, I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ.  If there is anything that will take me to hell fire, get out of my life NOW, in Jesus name!  Lord I desire to have You rule all areas of my life.  Amen.”
