WALLS OF YOUR MIND

prisoner of mind

Then said He unto me, ‘Son of man, dig now in the wall’ and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door. And He said unto me, ‘Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.’ So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed upon the wall round about….Then said He unto me, ‘Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? For they say, The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth…’ (Ezekiel: Chapter 8).

Imagery: (Hb… maskiyth) a figure (carved on stone, the wall, or on any object), imagination (conceit, image, picture, wish); observant (the mind/heart) (Strong’s Concordance).

Imagery is what we THINK about; the picture that comes to mind with the thoughts we have. It’s what we wish for and it’s where we will focus much of our wake time. Our mind is where the majority of life’s battles are won or lost. It is the key area Satan can control if we allow him the access. It is at our THOUGHTS that we MUST take our authority in Jesus Christ and put a STOP to them (Romans 1:21-23; 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 10:4-6)!

My dear brothers and sisters, the enemy knows you personally. He has his demons actively at work around you and they know every weakness you have. Satan will wait until just before you reach your destiny, your breakthrough, or purpose and then he’ll release all the dark secrets you have hidden as the very weapons for your destruction (Matthew 4:1-3; Ephesians 6 10-12). He’ll bring discouragement, feelings of failure, bitterness, anger, guilt, burnout, anxiety, depression, emptiness, hopelessness, lust, envy, jealousy, etc. into your thought-life in order to bring your ability to proclaim your victory in Jesus to a HALT! He will do whatever it takes to lock you up in his pit of darkness, doubt despair, and defeat. CHURCH, RESIST HIM, STAND FIRM IN YOUR FAITH (1 Peter 5:8-11)!

There is not one person out there who has never had an attack of some sort from the enemy. Some people “just like us” were Adam and Eve (Genesis 3:1-7) and King David, the man after God’s own heart (1 Samuel 13:14; 2 Samuel 11:2-4). In both examples, they allowed the desires of their flesh nature to gain control and they acted on their thoughts instead of turning and running in the other direction (into God’s arms) (Matthew 5:27-30). It is important to note that Scripture does not say ‘God will RESIST the enemy for you,’ oh no! YOU MUST RESIST him and it begins IN the thought level. I recently heard someone say that you can only think about what you know. How true that is.

What is it you immerse yourself in?
What types of books, magazines, shows, videos, entertainment, friends, etc. do you spend time looking at, reading, or watching? Seventy elders of Israel allowed their thoughts to dwell on the perversions of the heathen nations around them. They painted the pictures on the tomb walls (darkness) of Solomon’s temple and offered incense to them; worshipping the images of their minds! Scripture goes on to say, “The Lord seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth” (Ezekiel 8: 8-12). Are we any different? In the midst of your pain and discouragement, do you ever wonder if God is real? Yes, Scripture says He is, but it’s a book. Yes, Scripture says He’s going to return, but I don’t see it happening! Yes, Scripture says Jesus healed then and He can now, but my body hurts. Have you been dwelling on things to bring you pleasure for the moment, to help you get through the tough times? Have you painted images on the walls of your mind and are you spending more and more of your time worshipping them thinking God isn’t noticing, or that He doesn’t care (Revelation 2:20-29)?

Your mind is the greatest gift God has given you and it ought to be devoted entirely to Him. Seek to bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. As you spend your time getting to know Him through His Word, you will begin to see that your thoughts are from Him as well, and your mind will no longer be at the mercy of impulsive thinking. MAKE THE CHOICE to turn your thoughts and your eyes away from the face of idols and look to Him and be saved (Isaiah 45:22). James 4:7,8 says, “Submit yourselves then, to God. RESIST the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and He will come near to you….” Amen.

HIDDEN

His Covenant

His Covenant

Have you ever wondered what it really means to “live in the Spirit?” I have heard and read these words thinking that I had a pretty good understanding of what they meant. God always has His way of revealing how little I actually do know. It is my prayer that this message will perhaps give you added understanding and that it will truly help “set you free.”

There are two aspects of our Christian experience; how we were saved by faith in Christ from our sinful nature (Ephesians 2: 4-9) and the second is related to our practical daily Christian walk (Romans 7: 1- 8: 39). To live in the flesh is to do something “out from my “self.” It includes all my past ways of coping and dealing with things in a way I felt comfortable with up to Christ. When I gave my life to Christ, my old ways of handling things were not acceptable anymore. It is a fact that in Christ my old man was crucified, and it is a present fact that I am blessed “with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ” (Ephesians 1: 3); but if I do not live in the Spirit, then my life will contradict that I am in Christ. His life and His ways will not be expressed in and through me. For example, my old temper still shows up, or my desiring to control my environment and those about me may still be a problem. W hat is the trouble, oh wretched woman that I am? It is that I am holding the truth objectively (I believe what I see around me and react to it), where what is true must be made true subjectively (I believe in Christ and His Word even though I don’t see it) and that is brought about as I live in the Spirit.

Not only am I in Christ, but Christ is in me. As man can’t live and work in water but only in air (oxygen), so spiritually, Christ dwells and manifests Himself not in terms of “flesh” but of “spirit”. So, if I live “in the flesh”, what is mine in Christ is held in suspense in me. Even though I am in Christ, I may still live in my own strength and under my own direction and because of this, in daily experiences my “old sin nature” shows up. If I want to experience all that is in Christ, then I have to live in the Spirit.

Living in the Spirit means that I will trust Holy Spirit to do in me what I cannot do myself. Every time I am faced with a new demand from the LORD, I look to Him to do in me what He requires of me. It is not TRYING, but TRUSTING; it is not STRUGGLING, but RESTING in Him. If I have a hasty temper, impure thoughts, a quick tongue, or a critical spirit, I shall not set out with a determined effort to change myself, but instead, reckoning myself dead in Christ to these things, I shall look to the Spirit of God to produce in me the needed purity, humility, or meekness; confident that He will do so. “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today … The LORD will fight for you, you need only to be still” (Exodus 14: 13, 14). When Holy Spirit takes things in hand, there is no need for strain on our part. It is not a case of “clenching our teeth” (as I often do) and taking “a grip on ourselves” (I do that too), and thinking that we have “controlled ourselves beautifully” and had a glorious victory. No! The REAL VICTORY is where the LORD carries us through!

I like the passage in 1 Corinthians 10: 13 that promises God’s faithfulness in not letting us be tempted beyond what we can bear; however, if you are tempted, that He WILL provide a way that you can stand up under it. I believe the object of any temptation is always to get us to DO something. Satan’s temptations are not necessarily designed to make us do something sinful, but they are designed to cause us to act or react in our own energy. For example, when some event causes us to feel anger begin to well up within us, we need to STEP BACK from it at once; acknowledge it to the LORD then and there and ask Holy Spirit to bring PEACE and LOVE into our heart. Then without a sound, without a struggle, trust Him to do this. I have tried to control myself in this kind of situation. I have prayed on the way to work and have asked the LORD to reign in my heart. I have repeatedly said, “LORD, I submit ALL areas of my life to You.” Then, as soon as I walk in the door to the office chaos breaks out and all my good intentions fly out the window! I pray again the next day and the next and as I look back, I see that I have become more peaceful in situations (Mark 4: 26-29; see Exodus33: 21-23). Thank You, LORD!

As soon as we step out from the cover of Christ into the realm of the flesh, Satan has gained the victory over us. So where does our help come from? Galatians 5 says the fight with the flesh IS NOT OURS but Holy Spirit’s and it is to be He, not we, who meets and deals with it (15,16). The result is that we may not do the things that we would. If we live in the Spirit, if we walk by faith in the risen Christ, we can truly “stand aside” while Holy Spirit gains new victories over the flesh every day. Our victory lies in hiding in Christ (Psalm 27: 5, 6; Galatians 5: 1) and in relying upon Holy Spirit within us to overcome our fleshy lusts with His own new desires (Romans 8: 26). The cross has been given to procure salvation for us; the Spirit has been given to produce salvation in us. Hallelujah, you can choose to rest in Him and say, “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4: 13).

God’s word for YOU…
“Live with Me in my secret place; rest in My shadow. For I am your fortress, your deliverer, and your shield. I have broken Satan’s yoke, and burst your bonds asunder. In repentance and rest is your salvation and in quietness and trust is your strength. Take the keys to the kingdom, open the door, and come in. It is there you find all you need; all provision. I am the answer to your every appeal. Call the name, JESUS! Watch circumstances and feelings change. Live up to My vision of you, through Christ.”

ONLY BELIEVE

prayer of woman 1

And Jesus said to him, “If You can! All things are possible for one who believes… .’ And Jesus answered them, ‘Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” And Mary said, ‘Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.’… And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord” (Mark 5:36; 9:22,23; 11:22-24; Luke 1:13-45).

I believe in the truth of God’s Word; all of it. I believe that every passage of Scripture is God breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, and for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action); so that every man and woman of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work that God should call us to do (2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12,13).

This week I spent some time with a few of my prayer sisters. I was surprised to hear some of the personal “issues” each of them are trying to deal with. As we talked, all of us came to the realization that the distractions of day to day are a cheap shot by the enemy to get our eyes off the ability of JESUS to take care of our needs (however big or small); yet somehow, we get taken ‘off course’ by thinking ‘we’ or, the advice of others will pull us through a critical time (Matthew 14: 29-31). I believe all of us fall into this way of thinking at some time or other, no matter how ‘spiritually mature’ we are.

I have been pondering the question; “DO I BELIEVE in JESUS CHRIST and His ABILITY? Do I REALLY BELIEVE that through Him alone (my Source for everything) I AM ABLE (in sickness, weakness, grief, being jobless, hungry, depressed, and filled with worry and anxiety, fear for tomorrow, etc.) TO GET THROUGH all that is before me, and do all that He has called me to?”

My answer is “Yes!” There is Power within us, that will quickly tug at us and remind us of “who we are in Christ”, if we will just open our hearts to hear HIM (Romans 8: 16). There is great REST for us as we draw near to Him and strength for us as we partake of His fruit of PEACE, and JOY. It is only when we recognize that we sit in and with Jesus at the right hand of the Father far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but in the one to come (Galatians 5: 22, 23; Ephesians 1: 15 – 2: 8) that we can with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, KNOWING that we will receive mercy and find grace to help us in our times of need (see Hebrews 4: 14-18). Hallelujah!

I want to now take you through various passages found in 2 Corinthians, chapters 1-5. It is my prayer that as you read them, you will feel a resurgence of your great love for our Master and Savior; that you will experience the precious touch of His hand on you, that in His touch His strength and healing will flow through you in a profound way. I pray that you will know with deep assurance His great love for you and that there will come upon you a profound PEACE. Great JOY will stir deep within your spirit as you rise up and worship in the beauty of His presence:

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort which we ourselves are comforted by God. He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and He will deliver us. On Him we have set our hope that He will deliver us again. You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayers of many. For all the promises of God find their Yes in Him. That is why it is through Him that we utter our Amen to God for His glory. And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us and given us His Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

Thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of Him everywhere. For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one is the fragrance of death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, who has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

We have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. Since we have the same spirit of faith according to what has been written, “I believed, and so I spoke,” we believe, and so we also speak, knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into His presence.

So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as guarantee.” Praise the Lord for His Truth that is eternal and never fails! God bless you!

The Lord is saying to you…

“Child, I know your pain, I hear your cry and I see your tears. It is My desire to bring you good things out of every seemingly impossible circumstance. Come to Me and lay down your cares and let child-like laughter rise within you. Face the coming days with a brave and happy heart. Be of good courage, for the enemy is under your feet and you are seated with Me in heavenly places. There is nothing ethereal in this; it is a simple fact. You have much in your life to provoke laughter, simple trust, fearlessness, and joy. Today is sublimely sweet; do not miss the joy of each new day by striving to know or plan for tomorrow. I am near now; reach out and take My hand as I lead you forward into the next moment.”

HARVEST: ONE HUNDRED FOLD

“But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. FOR IF THESE THINGS ARE YOURS AND ABOUND, YOU WILL BE NEITHER BARREN NOR UNFRUITFUL IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST” (2 Peter 1: 5-8).

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser.   Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that BEARS FRUIT He prunes, that it may bear MORE FRUIT” (John 15: 1, 2).  “You will know them by their fruits…even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them” (Matthew 7:16-20).

“But the FRUIT of the SPIRIT is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another (Galatians 5: 22 – 6: 2).  Brethern, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in the spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.  Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”   “This is MY commandment, that you LOVE ONE ANOTHER as I have loved you…You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should GO AND BEAR FRUIT, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, THAT YOU LOVE ONE ANOTHER” (John 15: 12-17).

“A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it. Some fell on rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it. But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold” (Luke 8: 5-8; Mark 10: 29, 30).

Are you hearing this as you read?   His disciples asked, ‘Why did You tell this story?’  He said, ‘You’ve been given insight into God’s kingdom—you know how it works. There are others who need stories, but even with stories some of them aren’t going to get it:  their eyes are open but don’t see a thing, their ears are open but don’t hear a thing. This story is about some of those people.’  The seed is the Word of God. The seeds on the road are those who HEAR the Word, but no sooner do they hear it than the devil snatches it from them so they won’t believe and be saved. T he seeds in the gravel are those who HEAR with enthusiasm, but the enthusiasm doesn’t go very deep.  It’s only another fad and the moment there’s trouble it is gone.   The seed that fell in the weeds—well, these are the ones who HEAR, but the seed is crowded out by all the pleasures of the world they desire more.   But the seed sown in the good earth – these are the hearts who seize the word and hold on to it no matter what; sticking with it until there’s a harvest” (Luke 8: 9-15).

Sown Among Thorns When you read the parable closely, you will notice that THREE OUT OF EVERY FOUR people who heard the Gospel, basically TURNED IT DOWN.  At least three of this group had already received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and were / are IN CHURCH!   I also believe that the majority of these people did not even KNOW that they turned it down!   Why?   Perhaps it was / is because so much of the Gospel preached is diluted so it is more pleasing to the people’s ears (tickling their ears) therefore, NO TRUTH is heard.   Perhaps it is falling on ears that have become deaf to the message of Christ and the voice of Holy Spirit due to hardness of heart.

You also have to go a step further and think about adding this 75% to a world that makes no pretense of hearing the truth. That increases the numbers that are deceived by Satan’s lies to approximately 97% of the world’s population!  The truth is brothers and sisters, many of the 75% have simply “bought into seeking their own pleasure”, making “themselves” the IDOL in their lives (Deuteronomy 10: 16, 17; Ezekiel 28: 1-23; Luke 10: 18; John 12: 31)!

Matthew also writes his slant on the parable of the sower; however, in Matthew 13: 9 Jesus adds, “HE WHO HAS EARS TO HEAR, LET HIM HEAR!”  Friends, have you heard  these words spoken anywhere else?   Oh yes, Jesus spoke these words at the end of His address to the seven churches in Revelation chapters 3 and 4 as well…SEVEN illustrations of where believers stand right now in this very hour!   SEVEN TIMES JESUS TELLS THE CHURCH; “He who has an ear, LET HIM HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAYS TO THE CHURCHES!”   I have heard many liken the church of Laodicea (Revelation 3: 14-22) to the church (body of Christ) of today, but I believe Jesus saw all the conditions as part and parcel of how the church of today appears.

“For if you carefully keep My commandments which I have commanded you—to love the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways, and to hold fast to Him; to love each other as I have loved you—THEN I WILL drive out all these nations before you, and you will dispossess greater and mightier nations than yourselves. Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours. No man or demon shall be able to stand against you; the LORD your God will put the dread of you and the fear of you upon all the land where you tread. And I WILL rebuke the devourer for your sakes. He shall not destroy the fruits of your labor. You shall not lose what is meant for you. And you shall receive a hundredfold NOW, in this time!”

GOD’S VALENTINE TO YOU!

roses2

The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you; Who shows no partiality to princes, nor regards the rich more than the poor, for they are all the work of his hands?

Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations. See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.
The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. “I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.”

(Zephaniah 3:17; 1 John 4:7,8; ! Peter 5:6,7; Jo34:19;; Deuteronomy 7:9; 1 John 3:1; Psalm 86:15; Proverbs 8:17)

PRISONER OF FREEDOM

abridged2

PRISONER OR FREEDOM?
(Ephesians 3: 1) ‘For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles…’

Paul repeatedly calls himself a prisoner. Why? First, he is literally a prisoner. He has been imprisoned in Rome awaiting an appeal to Caesar for false charges of sedition that were leveled against him by Jewish leaders. Notice, however, he does not refer to himself as a prisoner of Rome, nor a prisoner of the Jewish leaders. Who does he state that he is a prisoner of? Jesus Christ. How can he be a prisoner of Jesus? Consider the metaphor he is using. From the world’s standpoint:

1. He is completely under the authority of the prison,
2. He cannot step outside of the boundaries of his captors.
3. He is totally dependent upon the prison for all of his needs.
4. He can do nothing that is outside the influence of the prison.
5. The prison sees everything that he does.
6. Disobedience results in immediate and thorough discipline.

Likewise, he sees himself as a prisoner of Christ in the same way. Yes, he is imprisoned on Christ’s behalf, but take a closer at the metaphor:

1. He is completely under the authority of Jesus Christ,
2. He cannot step outside of the boundaries of his faith that have been set by the Holy Spirit.
3. He is totally dependent upon the Lord for all of his needs.
4. He can do nothing that is outside the influence God.
5. The Lord sees everything that he does.
6. Disobedience results in immediate and thorough discipline from God.

If life in Christ is so much like a prison, is the Christian life actually a prison, or is it expressed in freedom? These characteristics of the prison all refer to the subjection of an individual to an authority. When the authority of a prison is impressed upon an individual they lose most of their freedom to interact with society, and to exercise the various pursuits that are engaged in the relationships encountered there. The prisoner loses his/her career, possessions, and interaction with people.

Life in Christ maintains all of the important things that are lost in the worldly prison and by subjecting them to God’s authority, their value is greatly enhanced. Our career can take on new meaning, our relationships are bathed in God’s love. Our pursuits can all be selected to glorify God and to take part in the testimony of His Kingdom on earth.

Is life in the world, apart from Christ, a prison, or is it freedom?

People who have not experienced the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ often think that Christians are, in a sense, imprisoned because they no longer take part in many of the activities that they feel are “legal.” However, when one is lost in sin, many are enslaved to it. We see addictions of every kind as the most obvious enslavement of the lost. However, because of their lost state, those who are outside of the faith are enslaved to sin and its eternal consequences.

As Christians, we have been freed from many of the enslavements of this worldly prison including hatred, enmity with God, and condemnation for sin. As Christians, we have been freed for the purposes of expressing love and ministry to this lost world.

“…Choose for yourself this day whom you will serve…’ (Joshua 24: 13-22).

GLORIFY THE LORD!

paralyzed-man

And Moses said to Aaron,
“This is what the LORD spoke, saying:
‘By those who come near Me
I must be regarded as holy;
And before all the people
I must be glorified’.”
(Leviticus 10: 3)

The glory of the LORD (grandeur, splendor, magnificence, majesty, resplendence, impressiveness, nobility, excellence, stateliness, and dignity, etc.) is described throughout the Word of God. But His glory is not just something that we can just read about.
We can see evidence of His glory all around us. I believe there are many today who KNOW the glory of God and who are used tremendously by the LORD to lift Jesus up so the world may see Him and come to know Him and desire Him as Lord (John 12: 32). There are also many words that describe what it means to “give glory to”: “pay homage, exalt, revere, deify, adore, worship, bow down and worship, beautify, elevate, praise, laud, extol, honor, celebrate, sing the praises of, thanksgiving, gratitude, etc.

I want to go through some passages of Scripture that will illustrate both SEEING and KNOWING the glory of the LORD, that in His miracles He manifested His glory, and the people then acknowledged Him as truly God. “And great crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and they put them at his feet, and he healed them, so that the crowd wondered, when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled healthy, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel” (Matthew 15: 30, 31). I have always believed that many “miracles” are manifested in crowds where many are lost; that the miracle is used to open the blinded eyes of those lost. There is a passage of Scripture that I often pray for family and people I know NEED the LORD in their lives. “And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled ONLY to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the GLORY of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Corinthians 4: 3,4). Ephesians 6: 12 reminds us that warfare over souls is done in the spiritual; a supernatural phenomenon.

I believe God prepares hearts to see and that it is a miracle. “The miracle” that will pull the veil of the enemy down, allowing the LIGHT of the Gospel to flood the souls of these whose hearts have been made ready to receive.
HIS PERFECT TIMING AND IN HIS PERFECT WAY! Hallelujah!

When I read the descriptive words (Matthew 15: 30, 31) lame, blind, crippled, mute I see spiritually disabled brothers and sisters as well. I have had personal experience of being crippled in my walk. Note the words: “… and they put them at his feet and he healed them.” This is awesome! Each of us has ability to bring others and put them at the feet of Jesus through PRAYER. You don’t even have to be right there with your friend, your brother, or sister because there is NO DISTANCE IN PRAYER (thank You, Holy Spirit)! Just bring them to JESUS and lay them at His feet and allow Him to bring to each of them the “miracle of healing”!” Praise the LORD!

The second example is found in Luke 5: 17- 26 and here we read about being in the midst of many who were just looking for reasons to get rid of Jesus. We also see that there were some who already KNEW about the GLORY of the LORD and they had a friend who was paralyzed and apparently living in sin. They wanted Jesus to heal their friend but the place was packed. Did they give up and say, “We’ll come back another time?” No, they went up onto the roof and let him down with his bed through the tiles into the midst of the crowd “right in front of Jesus!” And it says in verse 20 that when Jesus saw THEIR FAITH, He said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven you.”

Jesus also knew what was in the hearts of the scribes and Pharisees; those who thought they knew it all, but were really blinded by the god of this world. How did Jesus respond? ‘But that YOU may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the man who was paralyzed – “I say to you, rise, pick up your bed and go home.’ And immediately he rose up before them and picked up what he had been laying on and went home GLORIFYING God. And amazement seized them all, and they GLORIFIED God and were filled with awe, saying, “We have seen extraordinary things today.”

In my clinic practice I would see many people who were held in bondage by various addictions and circumstances. I see many within the body of Christ who are also being held in bondage by similar demons. Both groups have become paralyzed, unable to move off their “bed”. The meaning for “bed” in Greek (Strong’s Concordance) is: couch; to slant or slope, i.e. incline or recline: bow (down), be far spent, lay, turn to flight, wear away. I say to you this day, JESUS IS THE ANSWER! Sometimes God allows you to get to the place of total defeat; bowed down, spent, fearful, and totally exhausted with no place to go. He provides an escape for you through a friend, a healthcare provider, or family member who KNOWS of the GLORY of God and they bring you to the feet of Jesus. Jesus is the One who is able to pick you up off what you have been lying on; what you have kept hidden; what has paralyzed your very life! Trust Him to HEAL you fully this day; pick up your bed and come home, into His waiting arms!

My final example is in Luke as well, 7: 11-17. Jesus went to the to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a large crowd went along with Him. As Jesus approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out—the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her. When the LORD saw her, He had compassion on her (His heart went out to her) and he said, “Don’t cry.” Then he went up and touched the coffin (bier), and those carrying it stood still. He said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!” The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother.

They were all filled with awe and PRAISED GOD. The widow’s situation was serious; she had no husband and had lost her only son. The widow may have been past the age of childbearing and would not marry again. Unless a relative came to her aid, her future looked bleak. She may very well have to beg for food. However, she is also just the kind of person that Jesus had come to help (Luke 4: 18) and He did! JESUS HAS THE DESIRE AND THE POWER TO BRING HOPE OUT OF ANY TRAGEDY! Hallelujah!

Now I would like to share a personal word with you that will tie all the above examples of God’s TRUTH into present day life. My husband and my sister had the privilege of working with Geordanie in 2008. He is the young pastor of a church in the center of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. It was a time of great blessing and many friendships were formed in the week we spent with some of the people in Haiti. We did not spend much time in Port-au-Prince, but traveled and ministered in more of the smaller villages surrounding Grand Guave and Petit Guave. The great devastation that has rocked the foundations of this country has been unimaginable for my husband and me. Haiti was already one of the most impoverished areas we have gone to even before this recent event. We were deeply concerned about Geordanie, his wife and four children, and the many others God had connected us to. I tried many times to reach him by phone and also contacted a friend in USA who has more direct contact with Geordanie. He had spoken with Geordanie four days after the quake and all were apparently well although they had not had food or water up to that point. Geordanie was thrilled that the church building had suffered only a minor fracture in one wall and that many people were coming to the church compound and were receiving Christ as LORD. PRAISE JESUS!

Toward the end of January Geordanie called me and all I seemed to be able to do was shed tears of relief and joy. At that time he was having a lot of problems in getting food and most importantly, water. Things weren’t easy and yet he was laughing and so happy to be talking with us! He expounded and glorified God for the lives He had spared, for the many who were receiving Jesus as LORD! His congregation had already grown to about 300 and this was a thing to celebrate! He and the people were praying God would send supplies of food and water soon along with some medicines. Then there was another long period of silence as I could not get him on the phone.

On Monday the 15th of February I received the call from Geordanie. The week before he had a bad fever but was feeling better. He was concerned about his wife and daughter who developed the high fever on the 11th and they still had no medical help. He asked for prayer for them and for the protection of his other two children, for the people of Haiti. He spoke very briefly about the many who had died, the many who have lost family and friends and then he laughed and said, “But God, He IS ALIVE and many things are happening here!”

(The next thing I ask each of you to do is consider and think on what I am about to write): Geordanie went on to say, “Sister Judy, on Friday (12th) we here in this church (now about 480+) decided to FAST and just PRAISE God for the LIFE He has ALLOWED us thus far! We also prayed God would bring provisions to us, food, clean water, and medicine. We PRAYED AND FASTED LIKE THIS right up to our Sunday (14th) service and about noon, Judy, God SHOWED UP! He sent some people to the church with boxes of food and water and they will return with medicine for my wife, my son, and others who need it! GOD IS SO FAITHFUL! Also Judy, many are coming to Christ, it is very good.”

To all who have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying this day:

“I give thanks to God for you, brothers, as it is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing. Therefore we ourselves boast about you in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions you are enduring. To this end, I will always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of His calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by His power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

BLESSED HOPE

hope1

In the Bible, the word “hope” stands for both the act of hoping (Romans 4: 18; 1 Corinthians 9: 10) and the thing hoped for (Colossians 1: 5; 1 Peter 1: 3).

Hope does not arise from the individual’s desires or wishes but from God, WHO IS HIMSELF THE BELIEVER’S HOPE: “My hope is in You” (Psalm 39: 7).

Hope is a firm assurance about things that are unseen and still in the future (Romans 8: 24, 25; Hebrews 11: 1, 7).

Hope distinguishes the believer, in whom hope resides (1 Peter 3: 15; 1 John 3: 3) from the unbeliever, who has no hope (Ephesians 2: 12; 1 Thessalonians 4: 13).

Our hope comes from God, His grace, His Word, and His gospel (Colossians 1: 23).

Hope is directed toward God (Acts 24: 15) and Christ (1 Timothy 1: 1).

Hope’s appropriate objects are eternal life (Titus 1: 2; 3: 7), salvation (1 Thessalonians 5: 8), righteousness (Galatians 5: 5), the glory of God (Romans 5: 2), the appearing of Christ (Titus 2: 13), and the resurrection from the dead (Acts 23: 6; 26: 6, 7).

Some people hope that they will receive eternal life, but our certainty is based on God’s promise that He has given us eternal life through Jesus, His Son. Whoever believes in God’s Son has eternal life (John 6: 40). Eternal life is not based on feelings, but on facts. You can KNOW you have eternal life if you believe God’s truth! You don’t need to wait for eternal life because it begins the moment you believe. You don’t need to work for it because it is already yours. You don’t need to worry about it because you have been given eternal life by God Himself and it is guaranteed! Hallelujah!

Holy Spirit is God’s seal that we belong to Him and His deposit guaranteeing that He WILL DO WHAT HE HAS PROMISED. The presence of God’s Spirit in us demonstrates the genuineness of our faith, proves that we are God’s children, and secures eternal life for us (Ephesians 1: 11-14). Holy Spirit’s power works in us to transform us NOW (2 Corinthians 4: 16-18; Titus 3: 3-7) and it is a taste of the total change we will experience in eternity. Praise God for what we have now and for what we are able to look forward to (2 Corinthians 5: 1-5; Hebrews 11: 24-26; 2 Peter 3: 11-14)! The HOPE we have is not some vague feeling that the future will be positive, but it is the COMPLETE ASSURANCE within us of CERTAIN VICTORY THROUGH GOD! May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15: 13). There is a brighter day ahead…can you see it, do you believe it?

The LORD would say unto you…
“Waiting, trusting, and hoping are intricately connected, like golden strands interwoven to form a strong chain. Trusting is the central strand, because it is the response from My children that I desire most. Waiting and hoping embellish the central strand and strengthen the chain that connects you to Me. Waiting for Me to work, with your eyes on Me, is evidence that you do trust Me. If you mouth the words, “I trust You” while anxiously trying to make things go your way, your words ring hollow. Hoping is future-directed, connecting you to your inheritance in heaven. However, the benefits of hope fall fully on you in the present. Wait expectantly, in hopeful trust.”

CREATOR GOD

rewrite my story

The Lord has revealed to me the many hurting and injured people within the Body of Christ. He wants them returned to Him. He is ready to finish the work in them that He began many years ago. The Finish Line is ahead and He wants to see all His children cross over the line with great smiles of VICTORY! If this is you… downhearted, heavy-laden, depressed, feeling unworthy, offended, alone, miserable, and so on… LISTEN UP!

“God is going to be telling His great story through us, and as we connect to His kingdom (i.e. seek first the Kingdom of God) it allows Him to rescue and restore our personal story. If your personal story is a mess and seemingly impossible to make beautiful, give yourself to Him as never before and you will find yourself receiving His winds of wonder that will leave you overwhelmed by His goodness.

RESTORE: ‘to return to a person, as a specific thing which he has lost, or which has been taken from him and unjustly detained.’ Sometimes we find ourselves (believers in Jesus Christ, saved by His death, resurrection, and life) being owned by the enemy unjustly with our permission. You may ask, ‘How does this happen?’ It is with our permission through the way we have chosen to live our lives, and it is unjust detention because the mercy of God still abounds! Hallelujah!

“RETURN TO ME!” The Lord is knocking the door of your heart again; this is not because of what your aspirations are, but because of the Lord’s own heart desires for His Kingdom.

Those who have walked righteously will flourish and those who have fallen will rise again! If you can submit to Him, He will restore and have mercy and define who you will be.

2015 is a year for your restoration. Do not look at your inadequacies and failures look at what he Lord is able to do. Believe the saving power and blood of Yeshua still rules! Amen and amen.”

2015: The Glorious Church

Lord of lords

January 5, 2015 What God has revealed to me for 2015.

I enjoy looking at what God shares for us and as I asked Him to reveal some of His thoughts on what 2015 would bring, I was brought to what I now write. All God’s Word and the future as we know it (limited by our finite minds) is already prophesied by His Word. If we will look to what He has told us and believe what He has told us… there would be no stopping us from walking in assurance and daily victory ALL the days of our life. However, I do think some of the things I have studied and prayed about will and are coming to pass even as I write. God richly bless you this day and throughout all the days of your life. Abundant blessing on your journey with and in Jesus Christ, Lord of lords and King of kings! He is coming!

I see now why I was told to “wait!” January is the 1st month of our calendar year and in USA when we abbreviate a date. Today would look like 01-5-15. God is a God of creation and order and the Bible numbers mean a great deal to me. So I begin there.

Twenty (20) represents the fundamental differentiation which creates in the world two antagonistic poles of opposition. (20) is represented in Hebrew by the letter ‘caph,’ in form of opened hand and it means “to seize and to hold.” For the world of the god this world, the corresponding meaning is, ‘the force,’ expresses energy, activity, and work (by R. Allendy).

It is a number associated to resurrection (good) or to reincarnation (evil). This aligns with the Lord’s words in 2 Corinthians 6: 17. ‘Come out from the workers of iniquity, and separate from their vain and sinful pleasures and pursuits; from all conformity to the corruptions of this present evil world.’ If it is an envied privilege to be the son or daughter of Satan, god of this world; who can express the dignity and happiness of being sons and daughters of the Almighty?

2015 is going to manifest a mighty Crash/Clash in this earth that parallels the great spiritual war in the heavenlies for souls in the valley of decision. In this year we, the Church, will be called to a visible “SEPARATION” from the things of this earth! The Church must hold tightly to what it has been freely given. Standing in position and holding its position is a battle that will not be easy, but God has supplied an abundance of grace to seize what has been stolen from His Church and He has ensured VICTORY!

The number 15 pictures “rest” which comes after ‘deliverance’ represented by 14. The 15th day of the first Hebrew month (Nisan) is the First day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, a day of rest for all God’s children (Israel and Christians alike). The 15th day of the 7th Hebrew month begins the Feast of Tabernacles, also a day of rest. An example of this importance is that God’s prophecy to Abraham was on Nisan 15 and it was fulfilled years later on the exact same day.

2015 is the ‘Year of the Church!’ There will be a rest from their sins as the majority within the ‘Body of Christ’ will come to recognize their position in God. There will be a supernatural quickening that will remove a veil of scales from the eyes of the Church and it will FINALLY KNOW sins are washed away in the Blood of Jesus and it is a NEW MAN in Him! Forget the past; this is a NEW DAY! Salvation will be offered to all who have not yet heard the Gospel and in this year there will be great MULTIPLICATION of souls for the Kingdom of God and the harvest will flood and overflow in ways that can only be described as through a “DOUBLE MEASURE OF SUPERNATURAL GRACE!” (1-5-15 is today and here we see 1 (sovereign), 5 (God’s grace), x 1(5) to overcome the evil that is to be unleashed (20) on this temporal world very soon.

THEREFORE, 2015 is a year of many doors being opened to the Gospel; many hearts seeking Jesus Christ of Nazareth. There will be many doors closing as well, but even as they are closing, God will have anchored a very spiritually strong remnant in those places where there seems to be little hope.
It will be a year of unprecedented growth of the Church throughout all the nations of the world. The Church (the Bride) will grow in strength and in anointing as the world is enshrouded by deepening darkness. People will be reaching out in desperation for the HOPE that Christ Jesus alone can give.
The GLORIOUS CHURCH is rising up and shining with God’s LOVE and there will be a huge movement out of stationary buildings that will flood the streets, byways, and highways. No longer will the Church be invisible, but it will stand with the Right and Might, and will be Bright with the Light that the Spirit of the Living God is pouring over, into, and out of it!

The CHURCH will be as a tree of righteousness; bowed down with the heavy bunches of fruit which are an outgrowth of God’s love which has been cast abroad in the heart of His CHURCH by His Holy Spirit. The fruit will draw people by the hundreds of thousands out of their personal areas of darkness and into Christ’s glorious Light. The Fruit and the Water from the River of Life… will be poured into and out of the CHURCH throughout the nations to give to the vast multitudes who will eagerly accept it and will eat and drink and they will never hunger and thirst again!

2015 is year of GREAT HARVEST; especially in the very young children and young teenagers and it will be gathered in the season of great drought and heartache: for God’s ways are not ours and He will do what seems impossible to man through this very difficult year ahead.

However, He says, “Go about the business I have called you to; do not look to the right or to the left, but go forward, trust Me to fulfill My perfect plan for you, through you, and into the world around you. I love you with an everlasting love and I will not fail to accomplish all I have told you I would do!”
