His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it” (John 2: 5). And withersoever He entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought Him that they might touch if it were but the border of His garment: and as many as touched Him were made whole (Mark 6: 56).
And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE (Mark 10: 27).
In Kenya, Africa the school semester began on January 3, 2012. For the young girl in the picture on the left, it was her first time to go and it was the first day that over 150 young people began living their dream. In Nakuru, Pastor Joseph and his wife Fridah, saw the manifestation of God’s faithfulness for those who dare to believe He is able. They have courageously stepped out to build this four room school that will allow the children in their community the opportunity to have an education. They started with nothing, but have, through their trust in God, gone ahead and have accomplished what would seem impossible for many of us. They still have significant needs, but they joyfully report that God will supply! What an awesome testimony!
Meshack is a young man from Eldoret, Kenya and God has placed within his heart the dream of becoming a physician. He works hard in school and his grades are very good. God is qualifying Meshack to make this dream a reality in his life. I salute you Meshack and declare God’s BLESSING over your life to be fulfilled as He determined long before you were created (Jeremiah 29: 11,12)!
There are many children and youth around the world who have dreams of doing something special with their life. God placed that dream into their hearts and He has also placed people across their path of life that could help them bring that dream into fulfillment. Has God placed you in position to help someone? (Proverbs 3: 27, 28; 28: 27; Matthew 5: 42; 19: 21,22).
The Lord would say to you…
“You are seeking My help for your cross and I am making your burden light. Through hard circumstances you will learn to be at peace, calm in every situation. Hear Me, dear one, with your eyes and your ears, with your soul and spirit: get out of My way, and I will do great and mighty things through you. I have said it and I WILL preform it .”
Please be praying for the nation of Honduras. Here is my most recent blog that tells what happened on Monday and also about our upcoming training in La Ceiba, Honduras.
Big news has come from Honduras today. Here are portions of the article from the Associated Press:
“All 158 Peace Corps volunteers in Honduras left the country on Monday, weeks after the United States announced that it would pull them out for safety reasons.
The region is plagued by gang violence and Honduras is considered to have the highest murder rate in the world. Honduras President Porfirio Lobo said Monday that the Peace Corps volunteers had been affected by rising crime, but neither he nor U.S. officials have cited specific attacks as reasons for the withdrawal.
A recent U.N. report said Honduras and El Salvador have the highest homicide rates in the world with 82.1 and 66 per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively, in 2010. Guatemala had a rate of 41 per 100,000 last year. All three are more than double the homicide rate of 18 per 100,000 in Mexico, where drug violence has drawn world attention.”
As the darkness is seeming to grow in this country, the fact is that the Light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is shining in a new way in this country. Through the efforts of the Honduras Church Planting Movement Project of WME and the work of those who have been trained and trained others, 159 new churches have been planted in Honduras. I was struck by the fact that 158 Peace Corps workers left, but the HCPM project has seen 159 churches planted! God is moving and the Light shines brighter in the darkness.
At this critical time, the Honduras project needs prayer more than ever before. Please pray for all missionaries and Christians who are working in Honduras. Pray especially for the HCPM team and workers in the CPM process: Adiel, Jacobo, Carlos, Oscar, Mario, Daniel, and Beto as well as many others who have been trained. Pray for safety: Carlos was robbed at machete point in the last couple of weeks, but was unharmed.
Pray for the CPM training that will be happening in La Ceiba on February 16-19. Many new church planters will be equipped. The whole Honduran team will be involved in this training as will Randy and Keith Travis, David Parish, and Caleb Gentry. Anthony Fouts will also be coming from the US for the training. Please cover this event in prayer for protection and for God’s power and word to be communicated effectively toward the result of multiple church planting movements.
In spite of the dangers, now is the time to move forward. Our friend, Missionary John Mattica posted these words on facebook today: Interesting occurrence today: the Peace Corps has left Honduras. The last of their people flew out today. Sited reason: too violent. Now it’s up to the missionaries to move in and fill the void. Anyone interested?

To all who are working so faithfully in Honduras and in other places around the world. In reply to your requests for prayer David, I think of two verses of Scripture:
Isaiah 6: 8…And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
and then John 20: 21…Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as My Father hath sent Me, even so send I you.
A word for all…
“I am leading you along the high road, but there are descents as well as ascents. In the distance you can see snow-covered peaks glistening in brilliant sunlight. Your longing to reach those peaks is good, but you must not take shortcuts. Your assignment is and always will be to follow Me, allowing Me to direct your path. Let the heights beckon you onward, but stay close to Me. Trust does not falter when the path becomes rocky and steep. Breathe deep draughts of My Presence, and hold thightly My hand. Together we will make it.”

An Unfailing Faith
“‘Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.'” (LUKE 22:31-32)
Scripture Focus: Luke 22:31-34; 54-62
Imagine having Jesus Christ tell you personally, as He told Peter, that He’s praying your faith would not fail! All the trials, temptations, and heartaches in our lives would not seem so intimidating. In fact, we do not have to imagine that; Jesus is praying for us.
Peter feared what others thought of him and consequently renounced Jesus three times (vs. 54-62). But God had implanted faith deep in Peter’s heart. Peter repented, just as Jesus said he would, and became a great leader of believers, encouraging and strengthening Christians through the ages, even us today.
I’ve known many people who identify with Peter and have given in to the fear of man. Myself included, we have denied Jesus by our words or actions. Yet we remember that faith in Jesus is infused into our hearts, into every part of us, once we believe in Him. Jesus does not favor one person over another. What He prayed for Peter, He is praying for us right now. This reality has comforted and strengthened me again and again.

Dear Prayer Partner,
Jane and I are sending out this prayer request. Mercy is back in the hospital again and Jane is with her. Please pray for God’s intervention for perfect and quick healing.
My brother’s body is still at the hospital. We have filed poverty papers for the hospital bill and the mortuary with the hospital social services since we do not not have enough money to pay the bills left by my brother’s passing. They are holding the body and will not release it.
Please pray that the hospital accepts the filed papers and releases the body in their meeting tomorrow. Jane and I appreciate your prayers so very much.
God Bless each one of you.
In love and prayers,
Bishop Simon

Simon and Jane;
We stand in agreement for Mercy’s complete healing and for papers to be in order for your brother’s body to be released, in Jesus Name.
We thank You Lord for Your faithfulness in hearing the cries of Your children and we give You all the glory and praise!
